Wild assumption he said he wanted control of who to get. That still doesnt mean the board can negotiate or give him what he wants.
He doesnt get his preferred targets.Antony coulda came early summer 2022 for 40m.
Casemiro wasnt his pick, the board substituted him for De Jong last minute.
He needed a CB, Kim Min Jae was a target, he went to Bayern cus of United waiting to bid.
He wanted Todibo but Utd wouldnt let him buy more than 3 players.
He wanted Amrabat, could barely get him on loan.
He lost out on key players due to injury, Shaw, Martinez, AWB, Varane.
There’s even more things he wanted but couldn’t get cus of no tranfer budget or ffp. What can he do with his hands tied?idk why we're making excuses for ETH. again every signing is his, evidenced by them being Ajax linked players.
I can give him a break cause of the owner situation, but transfers? style of play? player bust ups? that's on ETH.

Hojlund, Onana, Mount and Antony are all pieces of a puzzle. With Shaw, Martinez, Varane, Amrabat and Mainoo. You could actually see more of Ten Hag’s vision

You guys are going to see. Shouting results results is the easiest and lamest thing you can do.
its not results, its about playing good football, and seeing progress.

At Ajax the technical director was in charge of transfers and Erik had veto power. At united they give him third choice picks if any and blame him for not putting forth a cohesive team after 3 new transfers in a 22 person squad.
