DwindlingSunIt's just about building the foundations of success. It's why heavy defeats in a vacuum is not a valid source of judgement. The whole point of building a team is building an ability to bounce back and compete throughout a campaign. They did that.
There will be heavy defeats in the teething seasons for any new team. There will be odd results. Lackluster performances. But you are building a team and a mentality. You accept it and instill trust. If that gets undercut time and again then sure you cut players out. But when starting afresh, building something new, you cannot just alienate your best eleven time and again on the basis of bad results.

I did not birth a decade of Balon d'Or winners with Real Madrid by abandoning them to the wilderness during the hard moments.
My England side did not bring home the World Cup and Euros by playing f***ing s*** Gareth Southgate football.

Torino? wow that's a deep cut.
Became very fond of them after reading their club history. Whole team died in a plane crash just a few years prior to Munich. They had won the league 5 times in a row.
Needed to restore glory. Took a long time but was worth it. Could never win the champion league unfortunately and always in extreme poverty. But the league titles were very sweet.
Plus they have a dope kit.

but re: the players. idk where id stand. yeah its bad PR. but its not like I didn't crack a joke and smile after something terrible happened that same day or the day before, pretty hard to just be gloomy forever that's not natural.
