Wonder if they’ll find that Casemiro’s being getting yellows on purpose and making bets on the side.
Keeping a legitimate PL XI on for the whole game to scrape out a win against a bottom half League Two team
My kind of football.
hojlund literally works too hard. he needs berbatov to mentor him, I find hes never in the right spot.
refreshing to watch a match without VAR, this is so much more enjoyable not worrying about a tackle being slowed down to look like murder, or players going down constantly in the box to get pens, or waiting 5 minutes for offside replays on arbitrary line drawings.
Yeah one thing I love about my local team playing 2nd division is the absence of VAR, we got f***ed over by a faulty offside call last weekend but the fact that you know a goal is a goal / red is a red and don’t have to wait 5 minutes for confirmation is so great.
They need a fully AI offside camera system like they got for the goal line in the prem that gives you a result in a few seconds and then just scrap VAR.
Really hoping for a revolution next summer, don’t know if I can survive this for much longer
Right definitely the tactics at fault here
No, it’s the entire team’s fault. Sell them all and give him another 700m to do some terrorism and sign more of his sons players from his agency group

Why not sell them all AND get a decent manager?

Because it isn’t career mode, unfortunately
We’ll get rid of the most obvious underperformers and then gradually phase the rest out. But the new manager should happen at the same time as the former
A friend of mine had a date w the daughter of ETH agent recently and apparently the guy is making absolute bank from us. Has one of the nicest houses in Amsterdam and is in a skybox at OT every weekend.

No I know but half of this squad have been the obvious underperformers for like 5 years now and they’re still here

Like half of our signings have been through that agency I’m not surprised

or the ownership could implement a proper football structure to supporter the manager, whether that’s ETH or not
seeing this performance and thinking the responsibility lies on ten Hags tactics is hilarious

We concede the same goals and play with the same tactical flaws that oppositions of all levels of calibre exploit. Our zonal marking set up in the first third often means there’s empty spaces for cutbacks and deep runs. Our one man pivot with the two ahead often means second man runs on the edge of the box are unmarked.
It doesn’t matter who plays in the back 6 positions. This time was Casemiro, Mainoo, and Fernandes in front of Varane and Martinez (our best players in each position, one would argue). Against Spurs it was Mainoo McTominay and Fernandes. At the start of the season it was Mount in there. It’s been Amrabat some times.
The issues are largely tactical. It’s a slightly more nuanced point, I accept, than screaming about the Glazers and moaning about the underperforming players, but there is a fundamental rot that starts and ends with being coached incorrectly.
