Ronaldo-Piers: doesn't happen with a strong manager with a better relationship with CR. you think CR does this under SAF or Mou? ETH can't treat every player the same, his biggest red flag coming in was his inexperience with stars, and his communication. Dude has no charisma, and no personal approach to anything ive seen.
Martial: he chose Hojlund who is almost as injury prone as Martial. ETH's call.
Antony: spent years with him at Ajax, you know who a person is off the pitch, and he should know his quality on the pitch. Which is of a mid table PL side at best.
Greenwood: this isn't even a situation, the player is unavailable and there has not really been much for ETH to handle, club did it for him. Dodged a bullet imo cause ETH would say the wrong thing anyway.
Sancho: again handled it poorly, should've known the ramifications of his words when he called him out publicly. some people you can get the best out of when talking publicly, others you can't. again goes back to my point about player management. you have to know them personally to manage them, and get the best out of them. ETH is an arrogant dictator with zero charisma. better manage finds a way to get Sancho performing, and absolutely does not tank his value to zero like ETH has. disaster.
Rashford: again, ETH allowed it to get like this. Rashford partied after the city game. ETH probably spoke to him about that. did his message get through? im sure he knew it didnt way before this weekend's club night. poor man management.
Wage structure: sure, its poor, but he doesn't even know who his core is so he has basically held us back by 2 years as we know even less now than we did under Ralf.
Iām not saying heās a without fault but surely you can agree that itās reasonable for any manager to struggle when all of this is going on at one time

Iām not saying heās a without fault but surely you can agree that itās reasonable for any manager to struggle when all of this is going on at one time
yes for sure, only a special manager can handle this. you have to be generational talent to lead us back, due to the circumstances, player types, personalities, egos, wages, etc.
my real pt is I think ETH, like most of our squad, is quite an average talent. and does not fit with what our squad needs: eye for talent (thankfully he will have no more say on that), and ability to manage players. some tactics would be nice too instead of saying we're not going to play Ajax ball, so instead there is no playing style at all.

glazers goals don't align with yours or mine either. their goals = make $$, and grow their personal net worth every year via United. they're doing that quite well.

1 Ronaldo. A United player should in literally no instance either storm of the field when getting subbed in or run to Piers Morgan to do an interview. There are no excuses for that.
2 Hojlund had no record of being injury prone before joining us, yes he was overpriced (Murtoughs fault), so itās ludicrous to say that.
3 Antony, under NO circumstance should a United player assault a women. Antony was a hot head on the field but how is a manager supposed to know how a guy is with women in private.
4 Sancho. Has obviously been taking the piss for far too long. Been protected last year by sending him on vacation. Plus as a United player you should never publicly criticise the manager. Even if youāre manager criticises you in public. This is only suddenly a problem when itās ETH by the way, cus you guys had no problem when Mourinho was calling our players in public.
5 Rashford. Under no circumstances should a United player go out days before training and miss them because of hangovers. NO circumstances.
Some of these things could have indeed been prevented if ETH was a better manager and had better player management skills. One of the many areas heās weak in. But defending the players for this is absurd.
Itās basically the same as when a girl walks alone at night in a bad neighbourhood and gets assaulted or raped, and then blaming the girl. Cus yeah she couldāve been smarter and walked with friends, taken a different route or wore less revealing clothes, but in the end itās still the mfer that raped her that is at fault. Itās telling I have to compare ETH to a helpless girl, but I think the a***ogy fits.

look end of the day, sure the players can be wankers, but hes the manager.
and he led or contributed to these circumstances and situations.
if we had somebody else here idk if they'd do better or worse. all I know is we would have different outcomes to these 'situations'.
and its hard to defend ETH cause again, a) he has zero charisma, and b) there seems to be close to zero progress on the pitch nor in the dressing room atmosphere.

you also had the Maguire situation, Garnacho late for a meeting so missed the whole of pre season, Greenwoodā¦so be it. Name me another manager in world football that has to deal with this s***? thatās nearly 10 players, heās at fault for a lot but you canāt help but feel for him at the same time
