Wonder if it's true they can't sack him because of FFP lol

Poor lad just accepted whatever transfer target Boehly wanted to throw money at

Do many Chelsea fans shield Poch because of owners or do they want him gone?

They don’t seem to think that far.

I’ve said from the beginning Boehly was the culprit for their misery and got told off.

    Feels like redemption now though.

From what I see it's both. They blame Boehly for the squad being the way that it is, but there's also a narrative throughout the fanbase that Poch is underperforming with this squad. They're not deluded into thinking they can challenge at the top, but most seem to think they should be in the mix for a Europa/Conference League spot, around 6-8 instead of slumming it in the bottom half.

I personally don't agree. I thank the lord Poch isn't our manager and think he's pretty horrendous, but it's not like Chelsea were good last season and Poch is dragging them down... they're basically the same. Currently, the number of managers that can take Chelsea up to those lower Europe spots can, in my opinion, be counted on one hand, and they aren't going to be getting any of them.

Chelsea just doesn’t have a good core of players anymore. Under Abramovich they at least had the consistency of having a great core with the likes of Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Azpi, etc. , where even if you get a new manager in every other year you got something to build on. Now the only kind of leader they got in the squad is Silva who is pushing 40.

Neville thinks Dalot could be our permanent RB, i think he's improved a lot and is good but we can do much better. I would sell AWB, keep Dalot as back up and and see if we can get an elite RB

is there an obvious better choice out there tho? who's a good rb anymore? Trent, James, porro, walker, white -> I would say dalot is on par with all of them, and they're all flawed.

rb/lb have been and continue to be the most shallow positions in recent times.

i like Dumfries a lot, i don't get the frimpong hype tbh i think he would get so exposed in the prem being asked to defend

  • I don't think AWB is a starter, but for games to lock off a tricky pacer winger he's a must in the squad
seen Dalot get skinned way too many times by those types, and wouldn't trust him at all if we ever want to challenge for big trophies
