    VDB?

Seems like he’s going to be the Bruno back up mainly. And we’ll need him no way Bruno stays healthy entire season. Idk who’s out there but long term Pogba replacement if he’s gone in summer.

Idk why they took so long to decide

  • Dec 31, 2020

Actually it’s not even bad. He was never going to start against villa - he would’ve been rested after playing full 90 the other day. FA cup game should be all youth + guys like ighalo. City in carabao cup sure he might’ve started or had role to play but it’s the carabao cup so who cares.

Schedule looking a lot more packed with the Burnley game in there. I'd start Diallo for both cup games

my takeaway from this is I forgot we paid £37.2m for Diallo. smells like panic buy. but re: Jesse, I guess thats ok - hes a capable reserve as long as he doesnt get unhappy and start whining about it

Bruno, Pogba, Matic, Fred, VDB and Scott is a very strong midfield... manager does not need more than that for the current campaign. Not even in the CL anymore.

why ban him if they are going to write to him that he isn't racist, and that there was any racist intent in the post? why is he being punished if he they are saying he hasn't done anything wrong? it's ignorance towards foreign cultures because the dinosaurs in blazers in the boardroom of the FA headquarters are taking advantage of this situation it's an opportunity to virtue-signal which anyone with a functioning brain can see right through because they want to project the image of fighting racism without actually doing anything to fight racism they'd rather turn the other cheek and give three game bans and educational seminars to cover themselves in glory rather than to conquer the actual issue of racism.

my take is that they want to give the appearance of doing something meaningful against racism because it's easier than tackling the route of racism in the game which spawns from societel factors that transcend the game and not enough is done by the government to crack down on racism because the conservatives feed off the discontent of the working man to their advantage like brexit.

the media in the UK is a cesspit of racism which legitmatises bigotry and fuels far-right extremism which is a threat to minorities in this country populist figures like farage and boris fuel the fire by appealing to the angry, disadvantaged, improvished common man by taking advantage of their uneducated situation and presented their problems being rooted in the actions of minorities and those even more exploited and held with greater contempt and to promote hatered rather than taking responsibility for their life. it's easier to settle for laziness and bigotry oppose to advocating for hardwork and tolerance towards others.

if the FA have sincere genuine project of eradicating racism from the game they should look at the bigger picture, at society and why it is the way it is. the way the white working classes are taught to hate and despise those who also have very little we're from working class backgrounds and we've encountered racism in all forms towards different ethnic groups growing up and it's disgusting, but normalised to the degree that nobody turns a blind eye if one decides to label others as a chink or a paki.

John Barnes has said to the effect that society is racist not football itself, which i agree with, although due to the tribal nature of the a select section of supporters (and those in society) will pick on any perceived flaw from their discriminatory eye to belittle, degrade, humiliate, and shame players in order to gain an advantage over them by doubting a facet of their being that they have no control over.

it's projection of the abuser and just them pouring their arcaic revolting verbiage due to their own discontent with themselves.

i'm genuinely curious what they think this achieves he's a uruguayan speaking to another uruguayan in the language spoken in uruguay. is it appropriate to impose the norms of english society regardless of any context just because he works in england?

i think not that would be like cultural imperialism.

The FA are just a bunch of dinosaurs in blazers they are so out of touch they probarbly think that chance is the most hip rapper in the game.

LFC btw..but this is so ridiculous the response from all quarters of the media speaks volumes.

@Drogon_ the most ridiculous part is that Edinson Cavani will need to attend “face-to-face education”, to teach him that his own understanding of his language and culture is wrong. Batshit crazy.
