Sorting the structure out while allowing on pitch to suffer isn't gonna be their answer. Jim already said as much that both must go hand in hand. If they feel he's not up to it he's gone. Hero status, shifting blame don't come into it for them in my mind. Too professional and focused and ruthless. And a summer transfer window and preseason is certainly enough time.

He'll stay solely if he's done enough to convince them that, despite the rocky nature of this season, his ideas and execution of those ideas is in line with their own. Is he youth focused, yes. Has he lost the support of the squad, no. Is he seemingly capable of playing much better football than we currently are, yes. Can he convince them that he will stop self sabotaging and actually commit to the football we all knew him for, potentially.

I mean he was looking solid for a while, I just don’t know why Ten Hag didn’t swap him and AWB second half, it was such an obvious solution.
