be2yeLike i said, if you can't even trust that everyone should be able to mark a player then what do you expect the outcome is?
A coach won't tell everyone who to mark beforehand for a set piece, you mostly say that you want 2 players marking a post and perhaps some player marking a taller player for evenness
Anything else is up to the goalkeeper and probably Maguire to delegate and players actually looking around themselves

A variation from a superior tactical team (Liverpool intentionally put van Dijk deep on the edge of the box, as they realised quite quickly our intention was to suffocate him on set pieces) which massively threw a spanner in our tactical works and left the mess you saw.
