We started Philips and rice in 2021 final. Now there is arguably the best box to box mid in Jude, Rice is better than 2021, and potentially Mainoo or Trent to round it out.

Sterling Mount in attack from 2021 was an abomination imo, should’ve been rashford starting. Now there is arguably ballon dor winner foden, YPOY Palmer, and same depth as before but arguably better with saka and Gordon. Also better backup striker. And Kane is the same as 2021.

Bellingham a midfielder? A b2b mid????? He’s a second striker at Real. He just does his role better than Mount and sometimes finds himself positioned a little deeper like Kane. But all of the defensive duties will fall on Rice-Mainoo.

I don’t even rate Rashford but there are some really questionable names in the provisional squad. And why on earth did Solanke not get a sniff?

Eric Dier has international experience and plays for Bayern Munich and doesn’t get consideration because…? Boss Barkley and Elliot are also glaring omissions for the bench.

Tomori should be an England starter. The only reason he’s not is because of Southgate. Loftus-Cheek finally finds some good form but also suffers from playing for Milan.
