I saw it as him making a great run for that chance, creating a chance out of nothing at the end with the shot, and basically having a flawless half there. guess we view it differently.

no Cancelo is way more free than CDM hes making runs constantly. its very free flowing. id say in possession its a 3-4-1-2 but hard to call it that officially.

dalot (hugging touchline)-bruno (roaming)-vitinha (roaming) -cancelo (making runs inside of Leao)
bernardo (roaming but further forward usually)
Ronaldo-leao (hugging touchline way more)

then out of possession its harder to tell cause they've had 95% possession and Czech can barely get out of their half but 4-2-3-1 type:

ultimately all attacks go through Leao and that left side. dalot is not being used much. vitinha/bernardo/bruno are so smart they just move around. but bruno is dropping deep now as like a Rodri type to create.

love vihinha what a gem. seriously its exactly what I hope mainoo can become. rn mainoo is too safe and not progressive enough. also needs better shot like that consistently.

biggest thing is Vitinha wants the ball. mainoo is not aggressive enough demanding it and wanting to control the game.
