I think we are over the back five is that not what we played last time? We need to continue develop a system with Pogba and not just Bruno as one of our key creators and I think a back five, while still useful, would be regression against a team like Arsenal. How many times have we seen Arsenal crumble when they are not on the front foot time to give them a proper pounding and not just on the counter.
0-0 incoming
As a neutral, that was one of the most entertaining matches I've seen in months
Both teams went at each other. And that free kick was insane, I was not expecting that to go in. Pogba deliberately blocked Alisson's view and ducked out of the way when the ball came in, smart af

I didnāt notice the pogba part
Maybe he was rightfully so man of the match after all

We played a diamond I believe. I agree I donāt like us playing 5 atb. But Arteta seems to have oleās number atm, id rather go there with a very stubborn set up

Diamond formation is NOT it,
Need a right winger ASAP

question for the group...where do you rank this pep city team and klopps liverpool against the full catalogue of title challengers lets say the last 20 years. I think the city team is actual best non-united team. id go:
1. pep city 2016-2021
2. 04-06 mou
3. 'invincibles' arsenal 01-03
4. klopp liverpool 2018-2021
everybody else either was only like a 1/1.5 year contender or just not as good as these to be memorable. thoughts?
brutal.
https://twitter.com/footballdaily/status/1353732378624192514Damn Chelsea do the repeat and rinse cycle with managers. Iām actually relieved that the United board kept faith in Ole and didnāt succumb to the pressure of fans like me (:dead:) calling for his head. We are performing now just slight things that still need fixing, but we are challenging.
From what I think of Frank sacking is that he was doomed from the start. I donāt blame him for taking the job. Itās an opportunity you canāt turn down. But when you look at his track record. He was a championship manager who managed to get Derby into 6th place. Only just starting his managerial career.
I think Chelsea hired him for the now at the time as opposed to a real future plan with Lampard. At the time they had the transfer ban and he was the right fit to promote youth and get the best out of the squad
and get rid of the likes of Willian and Luiz.
This season clearly buying all those players didnāt help the team whatsoever it was like ātoo many cooks in the kitchenā too much too soon. To integrate all those players and for the Chelsea board to expect immediate success from doing that. Thatās where I do feel sympathy for Frank, I donāt think even the most accomplished managers could manage to get all those players working together straight away in one season. Very difficult task.
Disappointing that Frank wasnāt given that opportunity to see out the season. And I donāt think Tuchel is the guy to get everything going right for Chelsea. I think heās a good coach, but with him I see 2 years max at that club

my take has always been, id rather win with ole, than someone else and am willing to give him/anyone really the opportunity to grow. just like SAF had in the early stages (different times/expectations but still).
with Chelsea, ultimately I believe the environment isnt conducive to long-term success. they are too trigger happy and unwilling to believe in their hires. like literally last 15 years this has been the story. from ancelloti in 2010 to everyone that followed. one bad patch of form and youre gone.
when you compare the two, Lampard and Gerrard...latter did it properly going to rangers, and learning the ropes. who knows if it'll translate to liverpool when he takes over the job eventually from klopp, but at least I think he'll be better prepared.
I'd actually believe we have a chance to win title if we had Ruud instead of Martial

Ibra getting one over Lukaku again in the Derby scoring one through Kolarovs legs. (Kolarovs gotta be one of the worst signings of the season heās been worst player on the pitch for club and country) Dalots Also playing decent where he doesnāt have much to do defensively (probably because heās marking Alexsis Sanchez) but has played a lot of good balls attacking wise and his speed is still prominent.
