Iām f***ing begging, this swap deal would be so win-win
If we donāt bring him in, the window is a 7/10.
If we bring him in (which likely means we sold sancho/mctom), then itās a 10/10 and rivals that 2007 window.
anyone else we can get from Ajax to make ETH more comfortable? Is Jordan Henderson on the cards?
Make the swap happen bruv weāre not Chelsea morons that try to scam clubs out of deals
Chelsea are excellent at it tbf, one of the few things they've retained from Abramovich era (and back then they were dumping Salah and KDB, so wasn't all perfect). Their strategy on incoming transfers is reaching levels of nonsensical I would have never imagined, though.

Thatās fair.
Losing Sanchoās wages/him not taking minutes from Amad/Garnacho and gaining a ball winning midfielder who is still young enough to improve is just an ideal situation.

au revoir
we need to get that to the level of city with how deep their squad is.
dias, stones, akanji are all exchanging games when fit, and ake is not far behind them either.
somehow they are all happy too.
Yoro, de ligt, licha, Maguire could be legit.
dalot, maz at right back works.
left back is a disaster as usual.
wingers are good, let the lads develop.
striker has some competition now with zirkzee and hojlund.
cm is a disaster still.
Versatility alongside more specialist players - that's what City and Madrid are doing.
Barring Dias, all those City players can play multiple positions well. Easier to spread the minutes that way and fill gaps when there are injuries.
Would say we're doing well in heading in the same direction. Maz, Martinez, Mount, Zirkzee all are versatile players.

The Gallagher Samu thing is all time madness. Iām convinced they messed with Samu contract terms on purpose and out of intentions to not make the deal happen. For what end, weāll see.
If I was Atletico Iād be livid.

Would be perfecto
probably gonna be difficult to move him on I fear, but we just gotta make him the 2nd choice at this point and bring in a legit left back next summer.
no more 10M malacia hope he becomes somebody vibes. gotta drop a 40-50M bag on a Yoro potential type or de ligt established type of left back.
who specifically in your eyes is that promising potential type or established type of left back? cause i was thinking earlier that there are pretty much zero left back options in the market right now so i wonder if someone else could come up with some interesting names and shouts.
only ones that came up to mind who could be at least somewhat available were obviously Davies whoās bound to leave (quite possibly to Madrid i guess) next summer at latest (and while he can defend he is still more of a winger imo tbh), Mendy (thatās a completely opposite case, probably the best LB itw when it comes to defending but pretty much useless as soon as he gets to the opposition half lol, still doubt that Madrid would let go of him though)ā¦. then i could only think of Ferdi Kadioglu (similar case to Davies though, highly doubtful of his defensive abilities) and Barco on whom Iāll be keeping an eye on this season, really interested in his developmentā¦. also Mitchell but while I believe heās a perfect fit for a side like Palace, I feel like heās not on a level to play for a top 6 side and would be just mediocre
iām sure thereās more but itās not like thereās a lot to choose from honestly
Gutierrez from Girona is a decent shout actually, probably obtainable for a good price as well
maybe Cambiaso from juve but idk much about him honestly
Lino from atleti is an interesting one but I doubt thereās a way he could work in a back 4, interesting wingback option though but from what Iāve seen (not a lot) itās not like he could defend too well lol
perhaps Nuno or even Balde or Theo could be convinced to move at some point but all those clubs would probably ask for a huge sum
also donāt forget about Alvaro, i believe United got matching rights or maybe even a buyback clause for him, could possibly turn out good at Benfica so that would be an ideal scenario for united i guess
Hancko could actually play as a left back quite decent as well i just remembered, possibly the best option from the ones i mentioned so far and obviously versatile as well so that would be a viable solution i assume
Hato from ajax (dont tell ten hag) could be a promising option and also versatile between LB/CB but idk much about him to judge his qualities tbh, donāt know if heās all thatā¦. one thing i do know is that ajax would probably ask for some ridiculous money though

left back and right back have always been the two positions that are super weak.
especially left back. idk what happened to all the left backs the last like 5 years.
we went from evra, Cole, even Clichy was alit. and guys like lahm playing there a lot. all timers.
to now like there barely being anyone half decent at left back.
hopefully the next udogie type breaks through this year and we pay up next summer.
there's nobody in england thats a viable option. barco one to watch.

nuno Mendes for me is the best lb in the world. if hes down to take his career seriously, id take him in a heart beat.

damn. quite a hot take but thinking about it i canāt say i disagree too much with it, i do rate him a lot as well.
i mean grimaldoās just had a ridiculous season so it would feel unfair to go for anyone else but him as of now but at the same time idk if i would still classify him as a left back in xabiās system lolā¦. nevertheless heās tailor-made for his playstyle (btw still ridiculous that they won the euros with him benched to cucurella, however kinda made sense not to play him in a back 4 after this season)
theo probably still got it going off consistency but mendes is probably right behind tbhā¦. mendy would be right there though if he wasnāt pretty much useless offensively, even with that heās probably still top 5 to me
also interested in what baldeās gonna offer this season coming off his injury

yeah hard agree. i mean thereās still options and quite a decent amount of them when i think about it further like i just did but as you said itās mostly players half decent at left backā¦. not like that thereās anyone among these options where i would be like hell yeah thatās definitely the guy, theyāre just decent
has probably a lot to do with the evolution of the fullback position in recent years though, no wonder many of these guys were previously mostly center backs or vice versa like calafioriā¦.. as with everything, pep is right there to blame iām afraid
or differently in the other cases a lot of them were previously wingers and now are in this neverending awkward phase operating pretty much as wingbacks in back 4ās which feels odd

he couldn't start over cucu, so I can't even begin to take Grimaldo seriously.

yeah guys like gvardiol and calamari as left backs are unheard of like 10 years ago.
