I can definitely see this happening with City they are so consistent. Unlike us who are pretty much bottling it. I just got this feeling we are now going to get a bad spell again. We haven’t seen how Ole can cope in a full season at United
1st season: Came in interim December got that good form, then bad form towards the end of season
2nd season: bad form looking like getting sacked, signed Bruno, good form then COVID happened and we managed to get top 4 in the summer
3rd season: bad start, then good form again, but now things looking a bit uncertain

btw shaw's return to form is a hell of a story. went from being worthless, to being arguably our most consistent player.

Our front 3 needs changing, I’m kind of done seeing Rashford inconsistency and Martial not good enough we still need a RW.

but yeah a rw (sancho? diallo?) would be ideal as would a striker. to replace Prince Anthony. CM needed for sure... Fred/McTom as your two in the middle aint winning trophies. CB to partner with Maguire needed too for sure.

VDB as an AM doesn't suit how we play. Like Maguire Awb and even Telles I don't think Ole gave much thought into how these players fits his style of play.

I think VdB's future is as a CM. As an AM he just can't offer the passing range and directness that's needed in our game. I don't think Ole trusts him there though since he's not so good defensively

I thought his performance was on par with the whole team. sure he didnt get his shot on target but defensively I thought he was very calm and made a lot of smart decisions.

That’s why it’s essential we get a proper DM. Matic proved he’s pretty much done during that Sheffield game. Then again I do find it strange we even signed him, if Ole doesn’t have the confidence to find a position for him. It’s like Ole thinks he’s only suited to the AM role

I feel like something must happen in training where Ole tried him at CM and VDB burned him with some bad mistakes or positioning (pogba-esque?). so he decided im not going to do VDB at CM in real games

When are we going to win this title? Obviously not this season but even the next season's I can still see City and Liverpool going for it over us
