The football we play is utter dog s***. This passing it around the back bollocks has got to stop instantly

He’s easily found out, slow to react and it often backfires when he does react

I think we’re past the point of excuses really, and he’s not worth making excuses for

    trophies buy you time

  • underachiever

i just like football in general and this really the only truly active place on ktt to discuss it, it ain’t that deep but sure go off if that makes you happy

Ruud is the most obvious disaster I’ve ever seen. Previous managerial experience in Eredivisie, club legend, would be brought in mid-season.

It’s like combining a less successful Ten Hag with Ole would have us relegated by April.

Was going on guys? What happened? Heard you lot lost to farmers. Are you okay?

when we draw a match we should win the football world can not handle it

first trophy got him the full season to win another

I can’t see INEOS reversing their decision now that he’s got two. He’ll stay the full season and we’ll see where we are then. No one is sacking their manager in September

Oh yeah I don’t genuinely think he’ll be gone until Xmas earliest

Will they let him stay the full season? Surely there’s PSR implications when we finish 10th

Sure but I don’t think both things can’t be true at the same time. The overall state of the club isn’t influencing Ten Hag to make bad subs/not recognize who needs to come off, then leaving them on despite horrible play.

I also think at a certain point you have to have some form of standards. Overall play is better than last season but the results aren’t there. Obviously still early but as bad as we were last season, top 4 still seemed possible until we completely fell away in late Winter. We have Tottenham and Villa as our next two games (PL), lose them both and we are in a truly dire spot.

we had 55 different injuries last season, of course there will be a dip in the league but we still managed a trophy against city at Wembley

things aren’t nearly as grim as most would want you to believe

It’s just some dutch Twente song I guess. It says ā€œWe’e hated, We’re antisocial , We’re the most beautiful of them allā€. Idk who wrote those lyrics but apart from the anti-social part I don’t know how it has much to do with FC Twente lol.

It’s wank. Results like today don’t matter. Everyone’s makes the next phase anyway.

Nah there’s 16 teams going through and there’s like 36 this year right? For a club like mine where almost every team we drew are better on paper this season, every point will matter

Oh that’s right I forgot, this new European competition is something I still ought to get used to. How do you feel about it ?

It’s s***, makes all the games feel very insignificant, only 8 teams out of 36 are thrown out in the groupstages now. I probably won’t watch most of the other United EL group games tbh

@Mamba bad translation lol it doesn’t say we’re the biggest it says were the most beautiful club. Also we were really hated on for a while in NL when we won the league and were close to nestling at the top consistently. A lot of people who didn’t want to see that happen since we weren’t part of the traditional big 3 being Ajax, PSV & Feyenoord

Then our chairman ruined the club financially and a lot of people loved to say how we cheated the system even going as far as to say our cups were ā€œboughtā€ At the time while that wasn’t the case and our chairman’s financial decisions almost buried the club alive losing our license and being relegated to the 2nd division

Don’t hate me but I don’t think we’ve played bad football the last two games, we’ve just been incredibly wasteful and made defensive errors leading to goal. Brighton and Liverpool games were bad for football and defensive errors leading to goals again.

That’s not excusing the bullshit ball he’s had us playing for the last season and a half though. He’s clearly not a long-term solution for the club, although I’m not sure who we can get as a replacement.

Nah on Saturday it was diabolical really, like yeah we were alright for a bit and made some good chances but his in game management was terrible, killed the game, and instead of LVG mindless passing it around the middle, we now pass it round the back like were 4-0 up

I’ll admit we’ve played some better football but at this point that’s not getting praised unless it comes with wins

Oh yeah I forgot yall were the Man City of Holland for a while with the financial shenanigans

I wouldn’t say so, man city actually had huge investments and could spend all they want, resulting in the Man City we know of nowadays. We were never really in the position where we could spend a lot of money compared to the biggest clubs in the Netherlands

The mistake that our chairman made was they budgeted with the thought of winning the league again the year after the title and getting that champions league cash. Then Ajax beat us in the final game of the season and won the league instead. After that the chairman made investments with this untrustworthy Doyen Group getting big talents like Jesus Corona and Hakim Ziyech at the time hoping that they could still play for the title. When the results suddenly turned real bad everything went to s***. And then he left the club saying everything was taken care of and the new people over there fell into his trap of lies and left the club ruined for a while

It’s a wonder that the club got back out of the 2nd division in just 1 season, and in a few years time is doing good in the league again consistently. With a lot of own youth products in the first team and a stadium that the club owns which is always packed with a loyal fanbase that always showed up even after relegation. The fans really deserve this. Even if Man Udt fell off, Bruno Fernandes is worth more than the whole current Twente squad. So yeah celebrating like the boys did after a draw on Old Trafford is deserved imo

    Long post but yeah

    24 go through mate.

    Top 8 automatic.

The. Next 16 start the knockouts by playing each other.

So literally only 8 are knocked out. Everyone else plays 10 fixtures minimum.
