I had this discussion on here a few weeks ago in a different thread and I think PL teams overall have s***ty atmosphere. It’s different things I think; 1st Like the video is saying it’s incredibly difficult for young fans to get season tickets cus of waiting lists, old ppl don’t bring atmosphere. 2nd: Lots of tourists with their phones out the entire game who dont know any songs and tbh I’m not even sure most of them know any English. 3rd Security is high on the terraces in the UK, flares etc are impossible, and you almost get kicked out of the stadium for trying to sneak a beer in on the stands.

Now for the Liverpool case itself, that stadium has always been a ‘sing our little song with the speakers on in the beginning and then silence stadium’ which ppl that only watch football on tv think is considered ‘atmosphere’. That their home record was good under Klopp has more to do with their team being good than anything else, I’m not hearing any shouts about the Etihad having crazy atmosphere because City almost never lose there.
