Don’t pay too much attention to interviews and the words. Everyone seems cool at the start. Remember eras come to an end?
Performances, style of football, results. That’s what matters
This man made sporting relevant again did great signings and bets on youth trust me he the right man for the job

I have no doubts he’s a fantastic young coach with a good CV to this point — I’m just saying don’t get carried away over press conferences etc. — long term what matters is the other stuff
Crazy post ngl
I think since March, he’s not been good. Biggest issue is his work rate and lack of desire to control a game. He never demands the ball.

This is Kobbie Mainoo we're talking about yeah

yep. ive been bringing up the not demanding the ball thing for long time too. his biggest flaw. was evident for england too.
he has a lot of skill/technique, but thats not enough to make it to world class level.
Talking about a 19 year old that’s been in the first team for less than a year ‘falling off’. Sometimes I can’t believe my eyes.
Jude was a superstar at 19. but yeah he has time to become PL quality thats true.
just a lot of us had hopes for him to get to the world class level. its been awhile.
Jude would’ve been considered a McTominay level player if he had played for us these last years

Gotta have high standards sry mate. Garnacho isn’t it either.

idk if this is a fully unpopular opinion but I believe garnacho will be a very good player for us/some other club if amorim can't fit him into the team. if we sold him I wouldn't accept anything under 70m
antony rwb i been told y’all

Idk how he gets into the team. Unless Bruno plays deeper, which is not his best role at all. Otherwise if Bruno plays AM which he should - we got 4 guys fighting for 1 spot: mount Garnacho rashford amad
If he plays wing back we might as well start 3 goals down

yeah I agree he's the odd one out rn. shame because I think he's talented and has pashun for the club, hope amorim can make it work
Gyok cooking for Sweden again today. We gotta bring him in next summer.
he’s been consistently cooking for 4 seasons straight now, still don’t get how some people are trying to play down his abilities just due to him playing in a portuguese league
did the same in championship which is arguably even harder than something like ligue 1, honestly baffles me that there are people still questioning whether he can do it in prem like cmon he’s so obviously set for it

I agree he has been poorly coached and he has some intrinsic flaws that you mention — needs to demand the ball more often; needs to increase the range of pass; is quite slow and laborious off the ball etc.
But your phrasing about him “falling off” is hyperbole.
I hope - pray - Amorim is a manager who prioritises midfield control and holding the ball more than the opponent. If he is, Mainoo will excel.

I posted this before he scored 4 goals while letting Isak take (miss) a pen.
What a striker.
City surely avoiding any ban then with pep staying for year 10.
More than certain there will be some kind of clause or loophole within the contract that will see him leave if the hammer comes down hard on City.
Even if nothing happens, I'm still not fully convinced this won't be his last year.
An extension was always going to happen, does nobody any good to leave his future up in the air.
