I said Mou was easily the best and most successful coach we had in the post Fergie era
I think he’ll be back one day in PL.
lisandro out for at least 6 months with an acl injury
Didn’t he already have this injury too? That’s worrying
When did Amorim become this inert entity.
Would he not, when he was speaking with the club about taking on the role, have asked how our financial situation is.
Would he not have discussed how this squad isn't fully tailored to his system but affirmed his belief that he could nevertheless improve and get more from them.
Would he not, ahead of this window, have given his input on what the most pressing position required was.
Are the much lauded proper football people that we were all so happy to have brought in - Berrada, Wilcox, Blanc - all suddenly frothing idiots.
Would they not have discussed that January is a tough buyers market and maybe best not to make it your be-all end-all.
Are the owners able to just pour money in right now to fix a PSR situation that has been known and raised for months on end.
Are our players truly so fundamentally irredeemable that we should be getting outplayed by Southampton.
Finished beyond belief
It is a s*** deal. Pay 5m for a player who is no guarantee to suddenly improve us, and if we manage to improve him then we ship him back to Bayern with no buy option.
It is an especially s*** deal considering our financial position.
we’ve been through a lot but Ineos & ten hag might’ve been the final nails in the coffin honestly
Ruined

Well one of those “lauded football geniuses” ineos creamed over has been sacked already
They’ve destroyed match going relationships almost instantly and not got a single decision right.. so it’s not hard to cast heavy doubt rather than pointing the finger at a manager who’s not been given a to piss in while getting rid of a few key (still not good enough) players

Why is Ashworth leaving bad. A bunch of people went into a completely new environment, after a period they mutually felt the structure wasn't working, and then made an adjustment. Is that not exactly what we have wanted - not to keep people longer than they are needed. If you go to a new job and you collectively don't feel it's the right fit, do you just stay there infinitely?
I'm not an accountant and I haven't poured over United's finances, and I don't assume any of us would have done. What is public knowledge:
1) we are right up against it PSR-wise
2) the first thing they did was run a lengthy club-wide audit. Cuts, ticket rises are the result of that. I really do not think they would be implementing those measures right now if they didn't have the numbers backing them up as necessary and helpful.
It is January, it is a s*** window for buying players. You are paying inflated fees 99% of the time because clubs do not want to sell mid-season. They must have decided LWB was the most critical position and so they have gotten a LWB and deemed other deals poor value.
'While getting rid of a few key players' - do you think Amorim has not given the green light on these loan outgoings?

It’s not bad he left at all, it’s just embarrassing that “the guy” for so long ended up swiftly getting the boot
We’re royally up against it because of years of mismanagement & the last manager’s best efforts to destroy the club
I just hope they don’t get reactionary and sack Ruben before he can have a proper go at implementing something

To be fair bro
The financial state of the club was literally on the brink of collapse when Ineos took over. Like i’m pretty sure the Glazers knew they had 0 chance of changing collision course
not bringing in an attacking player is unreal

Oh yeah absolutely
Years of mismanagement was due to royally f*** us up at some point, and the time is now
Just a shame Ruben has to be the fall guy for it
He is in over his head in a way we have never seen before
Ten hag got sacked months ago

I think it was a shock, I don't though personally see it as embarrassing. It just is what it is, new setups inevitably tend to have a degree of teething problems.
Barring us ending the season 16/17th I do not think they will sack him. But it is extremely far from anywhere near good enough right now and that is not on Ineos to fix. This squad is not as s*** as people like to make out, and if Amorim cannot get them functioning without signing 2-3 players then he really isn't half the manager he thinks he is.
We are up against it, so lets actually try and win some games. Not getting Europe is going to set back finances even more. Not getting Europe, ending the season 13th, not winning a cup, eroding morale - that is all only going to set things back further. For as s*** as it has been this last decade, at least every season has ended with some faint glimmer of hope. Be it FA cup wins, second place in the league, new manager appointments, Europa league. There has at least been something for us fans to look forward to and players joining to look forward to. That will not be the case if this season ends the way its looking like its going to end.

Stop this idea that he's some little impotent baby. He knew what he was signing up for, deal with it, do something positive.
Moyes just waltzed in and won 3 games on the trot with Everton after they had only won 3 all season.
Glasner turned Palace around after coming in even later in the season.
Managers can do things, it's not just some warped seppuku where you resign the team to languishing because you didn't get a player.
Manage. Make the best of the situation.
As a microcosm, we have sucked at defending set-pieces (still may do, we just have had less against us recently). Is that solved by signing tall players?

Talk about missing the point
Are you still hurt ETH got sacked or some s***?
Amorims been honest from day one. Its clear whats happening
The owners being complete morons and sacking him too early is the worry, and its a valid one
