We didn't do fine though
Let's try and use some brain cells
On paper with the guy given the keys to the kingdom, we should've finished 15th last season. That was the guy who built the side to his exact needs. Multiple windows, 600m
We absolutely have a worse side. Just look at the attack we have now FFS. Ibra, Cavani, Lukaku vs Hojlund. Get real
'We should've finished 15th last season' - why is xpts bollocks being used seriously. Why don't you factor in that we had the highest number of injuries last season.
'vs. Hojlund' + Zirkzee + Amad + Garnacho. And if you don't feel that is sufficient then definitely don't exile your most senior forward.

It's one of the underlying metrics that indicates how bad we were as a team last season. 8th was a flattering finish.
Rashford was also sent on loan for all the right reasons. It's just unfortunate we couldn't get a replacement, even more unfortunate we'd already blown 100m+ on two strikers with probably the lowest combined goal tally in the league.
Short term pains that must be rectified by standing firm with cool heads. Panicking only for the next suit and tie to have to field the same players anyway will get us nowhere.
The fans at the games sing his name for 90mins straight
Online he is the antichrist
Where is the disconnect
The disconnect is between him and winning games in the premier league apparently
Ultimately regardless of whether we keep Amorim or not, Ineos have done a pretty s*** job of things so far - not promising at all for the future as there doesnât seem to be much of a plan at all.

Ineos laid the groundworks for this by keeping ETH for as long as they did and forcing Amorim to join when he did.
If theyâd agreed a summer arrival with an interim weâd be in a much better position in some ways. In others heâs able to see first hand whoâs not good enough to be on the pitch so hopefully that helps.
We have got to have a huge summer. No excuses. 25 players left in Rubenâs first summer at Sporting. The same must take place here

Stop using this nonsense xG stat to support your argument please

man just skipped over everything I said and still managed to write 3 paragraphs. Should be a politician.

Got my vote on passion alone
Worst thing is Amorim is actually a big fan of the likes of Onana and Dalot, and probably Hojlund as well seeing how he doesnât dare to drop him.

I think the worst thing is heâs got at least 1% of the population convinced itâs not his fault that weâre16th and our squad is the same level as Ipswich town đ

Keeping him sets a terrible precedent. In a few years weâll be ok w a manager getting us relegated, because he doesnât have âthe right playersâ.

Probably true. Heâs starting to really normalize how ok it is to just be 16th because we need 300M on new players and till thatâs done heâs not accountable and needs 7 more months.
I literally donât get how the team looks the same yesterday as it did against Ipswich town on November 17. We crucified ETH for his failure to improve his tactics, but Ruben gets a pass because heâs a nice guy?

Thing is everyone ITT actually wants him to succeed - nobody genuinely has a âhate bonerâ for this man
Weâre just being rational and going off of cold hard evidence in front of us

KOP isn't lying. Under ETH we outperformed our expected points by the equivalent of 6 wins... is Ten Hag the GOAT? @Be2ye
Also if you genuinely think we have a worse squad than the likes of Wolves, West Ham, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, etc. youâre out of your mind. Bruno is one of the best midfielders in the league, Casemiro has 5 CLâs, Mainoo was amazing last year, Amad is great, Maz would walk into any non top 6 team, De Ligt has won titles everywhere he went, Maguire is still solid and would easily start for the teams I mentioned. Sure itâs not top 5 quality but to pretend itâs actually a 17th place level squad is absolutely mental (apart from Hojlund whoâs genuinely League Two quality, but Amorim keeps starting him for some reason). When you watch the Prem games you can see the players have totally given up over the last months, thatâs 100% down to the manager whoâs âshifted priorityâ to the EL, as if United isnât capable of winning two games a week. Itâs utterly scandalous.
The thing I find funniest is that KOP's indoctrination would stop if we lose 7-0 to Liverpool. That's how flimsy this all is. The perceived poor squad, the prophecy of Sporting replacing 25 players, the 'we have to suffer' quote - all of that would dissipate in his head if we we were to lose 7-0 to Liverpool.
Wolves can beat us twice, West Ham can beat us, Bournemouth, Brentford, etc. We can finish the season 16th or 17th, that's all fine. But if we lose 7-0 to Liverpool that's it. Maybe even 6 or 5, who knows.

Totally. I think we all want everyone to succeed. ETH is the only manager I really didnât like as a person. Everyone else? Wish they worked out, but when you are 16th and have psychos saying he needs 400M and the squad is championship level then itâs no longer a rationale conversation.

Itâs as Roy says. When you tell them ok we have a big Thursday game coming up, then everyone just gives up and uses that as an excuse. Itâs pathetic, and starts with the manager.

Itâs wild lmao. Literally this is ten hag 2.0 zero difference but we just havenât lost 7-0 to someone yet.
Edit: actually itâs different because ETH would have gotten sacked if he had us 16th
