Osimhen is like peak Jamie Vardy if he was also a freak in the air — fast, tall, relentless presser, insane aerial threat always running channels. Big game man. Scores goals from ridiculous angles at times. Insane box movement. A real poaching bagsman.
Gyokeres is better physically. Stronger, more durable (Osimhen has quite the injury record). Much better dribbler and ball carrier, but scores a lot from in behind.
Gyokeres has the plus of already playing in England, but the negative of not playing in a top 5 league. Osimhen has already played in France and Italy’s top leagues. Though Gyokeres has already played under this manager (if that’s a plus, not sure when you look at Ugarte…!)
Two cheeks of a real nice ass, but I think Osimhen will outprice us with his wage and I think Gyokeres probably ends up at Assna or something
Take Delap and enjoy it
Most goals I see from Gyok is him getting the ball around the box doing a couple fake shots to fool the dookie defenders and then smashing it in. He’s good but doubt he gets the chance to do that as often in the prem. Osimhen is one of those type of strikers I love, ball gets in the box and somehow Osimhen gets his foot or head against it every time, the exact opposite of Hojlund.
Were probably getting neither but man I’d love a striker like that.
The only good scout we got is Valencia I don’t trust nobody else itt
True I’m a terrible scout tbh, but that’s mostly cus I’m not watching much footy besides United these days.
60 mil for a guy that played under this s*** manager and has scored 98 goals in a 100 games or some s*** is definitely worth the risk
But this depends on the result on Wednesday tbh
@Grenouille
Oh I agree, I’m definitely taking Osimhen over Gyokeres.
I think it’s Isak > Osimhen >> everyone else
I think the United curse reduces whatever potential a star striker has at their current club
Cunha done before the last PL game is even played?
It’s time to get serious
Surprised they’ve sorted that so quickly tbh, striker and GK before pre season please

I think it's the fact we refuse to have depth
Like Dorgu is a good signing. Lots of potential. But when you pay 30+m for him and have no other options, he suddenly is a mandatory starter every week with huge pressure on him
Hojlund is the same story - I remember watching the Arsenal cameo thinking this guy could be serious but he was our only striker (still is) and we spent a fortune on him so he has to play all the time. Its proven too much as it would for nearly anyone
Its so stupid

Yeah that sucks. But i don’t see how you can have both?
Choose any half decent striker in today’s market and it means you have to divest that PSR bag from any second option you had in mind.
You either end up with a past-their-prime older striker who can afford to bet on a struggling United side or some unproven delulu ‘talent’ coming to wear a shirt that’s twice his size
All is forgiven if he buys Antony and Onana back off of us
55, can you do sum fa meee?

Emi Martinez rumours 👀👀 I’d be very down
Gyokeres has Wout Weghorst/Scamacca vibes. Great when the pace is slow and the centrebacks are crap. Stay tf away

He's class
Cunha will be amazing for us
Need to ship our frauds off so we can use some good numbers on Cunha and co
