I’d be celebrating another trophy win if this guy had hair and a soft spoken voice

We wouldn't be in the final if that miserable fraud was in charge and if you carry on with his league form we'd also be at best 13th. Would you still be pandering to him then?

    Absolute nonsense

    Oh f*** off

The worst recruitment in football by who they buy, how much they buy them for and how they sell players but you don't want to admit that could be a problem

Sack him, and let's see your magic man succeed in this s*** show that doesn't even resemble a football club

Kop everything aside, what do you see in this manager to give him anymore time let alone to blow our small budget on his s*** system?

talk to me, and being good looking isn’t a valid reason

    I'm giving him time because:
    1. He's been honest, accountable and has a good grasp on the problems based on what he says
    2. Rebuilt Sporting whos fans were trying to assasult players at the training ground so has somewhat dealt with situations similar before
    3. The tools he has to use at his disposal are the worst possible - the wrong players in a myriad of ways
    4. When he came in we knew it would take time to steer the ship in the right direction so I'm not going to be reactive because we aren't in the UCL when we don't deserve to be
    5. We have actually (as mad as this sounds) played good football at times but it goes back to point 3. Numerous games we should've won but don't have the people to get it done
    6. No other manager in world football comes into this club when he did, this poorly run, and does much better at this point in time
    7. This is short term pain for long term gain

I completely understand the concept of sacking him. We're finishing 16th. It's not an alient concept - but considering the above and the context of when he joined, what he joined into - I think he deserves a proper go of it, which is not what we have right now.

Sacking him and bringing in another manager for the summer, you're in the same boat again. New guy, new way of playing, new targets, wants to assess the team again. We can't afford it and it's not worth the time it would take.

These players have got to go - as he said we have got to be brave in the summer. Look at the tools at his disposal. It's laughable that we managed to assemble it and spend the money we did doing so. Jonny Evans was a regular starter we are so poorly run lol

Look at this first team squad, who would you be that arsed if they left? Amad, Mainoo.. anyone else? Let's focus on that this time before pretending the new manager will come and save the day turning horse s*** into title winners again.

They’ll both be sold to fund his summer signings because they don’t fit this hyper specific system

Our two brightest academy talents in god knows how long who are genuinely good players. Look at what Antony and McTominay are doing — I have little doubts that both will succeed elsewhere

Just look at the final last year, they were both supposed to be the future of the club.

And they’re being sidelined and having their growth stunted AND potentially leaving for this manager who is way out of his depth and his system that clearly isn’t working.

It’s actually crazy. Amorim should resign.

  • May 22, 2025

I like Amorim as a personality but he needs a complete squad overhaul and we don’t have the finances to do that. By the time he has all of his players we’ll be in the championship.

I think Mainoo is less likely than Garnacho but there is still a strong chance he leaves. He clearly doesn’t fit this system and the manager waited until the 88th minute to sub him on tonight

The same player who was MOTM in our last final, outplaying the current ballon d’Or winner

But the manager will surely go?

but brother we are talking about Amorim and moving forward. you me and my mother know about the problems at the club, but that doesn't take away from Amorim and his lack of ability to coach this team. nothing has changed since ten hag other than we now play a back 3.

we aren't going to sign 11 players so we need to trust Amorim can get the best out of what will remain at the club. and talking of signings the position he has put us in now - how do you sell that to any top player?? yeah come to us, no European football - manager probably wont be here come Christmas - and we can't pay you stupid money like old - BUT the badge is kinda cool right??

he got it so wrong last night it's crazy including lack of ambition with the late subs, he hasn't shown any tactical knowhow in any game other than that fluke man city win when they were losing to everyone.

I don't know who the correct man is but that isn't my job. I'm a fan who wanted this guy to succeed like every other manager we have had, but the proof is in the pudding this guy just looks the part and that's it. he hasn't shown anything to warrant spending 200 mil (probably) and given anymore time

don't mention sporting, ten hag had a better track record and that meant nothing

even he is saying it, nothing to show but FAITH - so is that what we are doing now, lets just hope he can do something??

and what is this constant reverse psychology bull s***, oh if the club don't want me i'll go - he knows hes out of his depth and wants out its obvious

He's not getting sacked (or resigning) so it's just moot.

I don't actually think he should be sacked (contrary to KoP thinking everybody who has a negative word to say is instantly an enemy of the state) but that's more because I don't want us to become a culture of hire/fire. You've made a decision to bring someone in, you need to commit to giving them at least a preseason and proper window. Given the current state though you can now probably only afford to give him maybe 10 games to sink or swim.

He's obviously been trash though, tired of KoPs efforts to convince he's the messiah. Our team is not so lacking in quality they should be bottom of the league and yes we have enough quality to beat Spurs in a final. Training obviously isn't going as planned, our play is one-dimensional, his message isn't going across correctly, he's not instilling belief in the players, etc. There's a lot of work for him to do, signing players does not fix that.

Like I said early on, I felt he should have just played the standard 4-2-3-1 out the gate - something that actually suited the players we have - and squeezed out a top half finish and maybe a cup. Get a higher transfer budget, ensure the mood and narrative isn't in the toilet. Then use preseason to build up this tactic. He hasn't. Now mood is in the toilet, budget is in the toilet, from the outside looking in we're in the toilet.

Summer transfer window doesn't bother me. Cunha is a standout player and we should be signing him regardless of Amorim or not. Delap's probably the best striker we can get right now and we need a striker so get him. We'll see who else we sign but at least those two are players you should be signing anyway. I expect the same will be said for all of our signings.

You’re mentally unwell bro, he chose the wrong starting 11 and took way too long to make subs, there’s no way around that.

Spurs are notorious for having a high line and he chose to start Mount over Garnacho. Even you can’t defend his choices last night, surely? He got it completely wrong.

    Relax with the nonsense

Garnacho was f***ing s*** against spurs at white hart lane

I would’ve made subs earlier yeah but every single player let us down last night regardless - when Garnacho did come on he had one shot and did f*** all else. Fernandes dropped one of the worst games ever in a United shirt etc etc

I think my biggest complaint of Amorim would be his reckless abandon of instilling belief in the players.

It’s like he’s so loving and charming to media and players until he’s not

Looking through my photos from last year, saw all these photos of Garnacho and Mainoo (on the TV screen of course) after the final, crazy how essentially everything went as badly as possible for the 12 months before and after that match
