But will likely never get best of him in this system, it prioritises physical/runner, defensive minded midfielders too much.

I think everyone is a little fragile and thinks saying something negative means it’s bashing or ‘hating’. Me saying Mainoo has a long way to go to be a starter week in week out, says nothing about hating him. Hope he succeeds. But don’t think we need to build our team around him in 2025 and force him into the lineup unless he proves it by beating his teammates to the job.
