Bare minimum for him to keep job imo. Our squad is not worse than those other mid table clubs. If Ruben needed a pre season, he’s got one.
Same squad did better under a previously so called terrorist
Usually a club will let the negotiators know and feel that they can move unto 5 other targets at a moment’s notice, so as not to overpay.
Not with United.

How do you know? Have you been in the negotiations room?

They cling unto Mbuemo for dear life. You should publicly announce you’re looking for other targets. And actually make real moves towards it.
Otherwise who’s really convinced you will move on?
Gonna be hilarious when we sign Mbeumo and he scores 4 goals
bro thinks we are signing someone
When you really deep it, Onana was overperforming at the club until Amorim came in.

What if Amorim knows if we actually replace Hojlund and Onana he won’t have this bizarre shield and people will hold him accountable rather than “these damn players!!” and that’s why he says he loves them and won’t sell
Mf will say ineos is broke meanwhile this is gonna be another 200m summer lol
If you get the right manager this club is a power house

I think there is no doubt ETH has done better than Ruben so far. Let’s see how it goes. Ruben has the capability of being the all time worst United manager if he starts off slow in August and gets sacked by 1st intl break.
Like Cunha, a good PL player. I’d be surprised if either are going to be game elevators or anything, but you can never be mad at the club signing good level players.
Clearly a priority signing for Amorim too given the outlay could have been used on a striker or a midfielder

He single handedly threw the ball into his own net enough times to tank us out of UCL
How the f*** is that over performing
He’s s*** and has been s*** from day 1
Don’t let logic get in the way of an Amorim bash eh
He’s won like 4 out of 20 PL games what is there to even debate / defend when it comes to Ruben so far - and you should quote people if you want to respond will make 25/26 better season for all.

You’re waffling about him being worse then ten hag
600+ and multiple extended contracts vs the guy who lost a few games with the result of that
Yeah I know who’s the worst out of that argument

bro cunha mbeumo and hopefully a striker takes our attack from 0 to 100 real quick

Tbh we haven’t signed a good player in forever. If Cunha and Mbuemo get similar PL numbers to what they got last year, they’re already some of our best signings of the past decade.

Better manager, better results

I get it, i really do.
But when the biggest criticism of a manager is his recruitment strategy i think that really says a lot.

I just don't think this was a circumstance where you could pull the wool over Brentford's eyes, we wanted Premier League goals and it's hard to come by
We're doing some misdirection in the hunt for a mid-tier striker and central midfielder with putting out the feelers for different options, but a 70 million pound forward is hard to bargain with
The narrative around fees and being a second choice can stick, this fee is not too high given the market and it's clear we got the exact player we wanted so on the players side and fans side we'll be happy and confident, it might've taken a week too long but he'll be on the tour which is what matters most
It's annoying when we sign players once the seasons already started but they tend to be players that aren't ideally seen as being so important, our two most important signings are done and I'm fine with that for now

Finished 15th and lost a final to Spurs 😂
Unless bro wins the league he’s going down as the worst United manager regardless

No club strategy no matter the dire situation the player market is in, should have only 1 viable transfer option like a Mbuemo.
Even if you want to focus solely on prem proven players you should still be willing to veer off in a different lane as a safety measure
That is a death sentence for recruitment and for negotiations. That was my sole point
