I don't know how Opta works for this sport, but I found out a few years back that for baseball, when they make their upcoming season projections, they don't factor in any offseason acquisition made, which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

Seems like same happened there. But that's also how regular ppl make their predictions. Most ppl subconsciously just take last years table (or second half of the season table), and add/subtract 1 or 2 places depending on how many signings they made. This is why everybody ends up w the same predictions that are almost always completely wrong. Its just too unpredictable, which is why the endeavor is entire futile even though its fun to do.

Not even on a doomscroller flex, but I think we finish anywhere from 6th to 12th. I’m not convinced we will consistently create chances and score a significant amount of goals.

My general feeling is we will balance out to like 8th or 9th. Around 50ish points, +8 GD.
