No, the first guy is right.
Whatās a higher chance, that 5 managers in a row fail or that 100 players in a row fail? Look at the things our managers have done after getting sacked, absolutely nothing

Iāve already addressed this before. Fallacy.
Why is it so easy for fans to see players clearly arenāt good enough, or they canāt hack the league, or need a different environment to excel ā but they struggle with understanding that same basic concept applies to managers?
From 2022: bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63341798
Across the 91 league clubs, with Villa excluded, the average tenure is one year and 172 days - another mark Gerrard failed to make with Villa.
This isnāt some āManchester United are cursedā s***e, every major club in English football on average follows this logic. Managers are disposable assets who last 1-2 years and who generally bounce around from club to club for 10-15 years until they call it a day.

What do you make of the opinion some fans have that the systemic issues at united make it impossible for anyone to succeed no matter how often you chop & change

Losing with Amorim ball or winning with Southgate terrorism?
He will open the southern gates of Hell
We needed owners that move like Chelsea
Move heaven and hell to go scorched earth on the club and rebuild entirely
Instead we got a handful of new attackers and fought tooth and nail to turn down 100m on a rapidly declining net negative who somehow wears the armband
The pattern will continue

Agreed, Feels like Chelsea found the new meta on how big clubs should move. They buy a lot of young players and sell the ones that donāt work for a good fee. Spend a lot, sell a lot. Could be that this approach doesnāt work for every club tho
Itās so bad that rival fans donāt even hatewatch us anymore, they just expect us to lose.

Theyāre f***ing stupid, without a shadow of a doubt

So you think that eventually we'll find someone who can do what so far has been the impossible, with the current structure etc all remaining as is

Yep the idea we are PSR limited or any of that s*** is absolute bollocks
Idiotic owners using us as a cash cow don't understand how much more cash they'd have if we were flying
Always see these reports as the beginning of the end tbh, thereās no way he stays if we get to December and weāre still underperforming.

might as well keep him until November imo, not going to hire anybody good midseason this year. either he turns it around, or surely he will be gone during November international break or shortly thereafter.
These reports about being given a full season are good in a way (if the project is always one loss away from the sack the project is dead) but even as one of the staunchest defenders the idea of an entire season of this absolutely horrifies me
