From reading about him online he broke through from La Masia with real promise — super fast, strong dribbler, good on the overlap. So-so defensively (but part of that is Flick’s ‘ed high line) but generally a fullback with high potential and promise
He has had some injury concerns, but I think the bigger issue is that Barcelona fans say he potentially has some attitude/motivation issues and lost his place to Cancelo and as a result dropped down the pecking order for the NT too
Could just be needing a fresh change of scenery to jolt him back to life. IF he comes to us with the quality he has shown he would be a tailor-made fit for PL football I think
Reason I think this could happen is because Flick doesn’t see him as part of his team, we need a LB, and Jorge Mendes is his agent. He owes us one after the M. Fernandes debacle and I could see him cashing that in because that man loves to ensure he sells or buys someone from us every season

Hope they play it safe and it’s a loan with a buy option as opposed to a straight up purchase.

Idk man, he sounds like a decent option for now. If he isn’t all that just get Lewis Hall next year as well. We’ll need a back up next year anyway when Shaw’s contract runs out.
