when Sesko picks up that inevitable 'knock' that keeps him out for a month I don't want to hear it
We don’t want squad players LB
All the top lb is not moving this summer it is what it is
This makes zero sense. If anything, the fact that there was zero competition for a top level LB this summer is all the more reason United should’ve walked away with one.
“Responsible” gimmick
proof that the PR works
We did the absolute bare minimum expected - we end the window with one extra body than we started with for a club that went from 38 matches to being back in four competitions
We had our most senior CB, senior (only) LB, and the manager all come out in the last week or so saying how we need more depth and players. Only for the club to sign nobody and do useless briefs about how we’ll “rebuild the defence project” next summer! Constantly dropping expectations and keeping the necessary input as low as possible.
We signed the fewest players in the entire league:
https://twitter.com/chestermanutd3/status/2094938784575954944Everything you said after the first sentence is true, the Responsible PR gimmick hasn't worked because still no one mentions the debt the Glazers and poor decision making have put on us, and the further debt we're gonna take on to build a new stadium, we have financial constraints that have to be met to be sustainable as the club builds itself back up
For the budget we had I think United did well, I would like to see us spend more but if we're gonna talk about business decisions they're making the right ones, I hope it pays off in the next few years on the pitch
It's frustrating when we have 50m (or however much) to spend on Lewis Hall and then it goes unspent, but if that money will get us Hall next season then so be it, we really should've gotten a loan LB in for back up regardless, Shaw had a good last season and Dorgu/Amass can hopefully deputise but we'll see
It's nasty talking about football like this, I'm glad the window's over
if 5 years from now there's no stadium and we're still finishing 3rd one season and 7th the next then it'll all be for nothing, but I hope they are serious about the stadium
All or nothing
Heavy on the nothing
Also conveniently left out. I get it wasn’t the full INEOS recruitment team or scouting department, but the first INEOS window was ABSOLUTELY a defensive rebuild window and well……………..
Honestly we should give him a proper chance as back up at this point
No more transfer news

Just a bafflingly terrible strategy.
Bruh 😭
he just found a sassy way to explain the transfer window
Buying players for a position every 4 years is somehow now bad transfer strategy
Arsenal is the only team that comes close to having majority best XI players there for 4 years, I feel like the majority probably still are newer than 4 years
Good teams buy players often
Is Zirkzee staying supposed to feel like a new signing as well
People were jealous of Tottenham a couple weeks ago (yourself included) and now we'll get to experience it with a new flop of our own

Think it's more the one year attack one year midfield only works when the base is stable
Spending 100m on a cheap midfield only works when we don't have glaring gaps in the side in depth or quality

When you exclusively focus on one area of the pitch while also limiting yourself to three first team transfers every summer, yes! It is absolutely a bad strategy!

What’s the definition of first team now, if we don’t include Darlow (who will play some games) it’s 3
4 last season
5 plus Dorgu in winter the season before

The base is stable, we have good depth after this window, I’m sure we’ve had the best calendar year results wise of any Premier League team
It may not have been the cash splashing transfer window but I have faith in these players and the manager isn’t holding us back like Ruben did
You guys are too quick to compliment other teams, we’ll do good this season

that how transfer work
you replace what is urgent
we dead have 2 healthy midfielder before we get these 3
Last year we replace the whole attacking players because the old one f***ing suck
We have a back up for every position now
this team is good we don't need 5 more signing to make it work
we not gonna act like dalot and lisandro is not worldclass level in 2026 still
maguire lose a step but he still a top CB in the prem
yoro,heaven,delight need to step up
Everyone chill, the GOAT has spoken.
