"NO manager will succeed at this club as long as the current owners are in charge."

This is where the problem comes down to imo. As long as the Americans are there, this club will never bounce back. INEOS are incapable of doing anything substantial so we're stuck in this nightmare loop.

Does it even matter who it is at this point? We are handicapped by the ownership, we wonโ€™t get back to where we belong until the Glazers and Ineos are well away from the club.

  • I think we'd achieve far more with a proper, established coach for once

Jose was the only one and he nearly won the league

I think whoever it is, I just want a proven name

I know not asking for much but we've tried the young and trendy now and for multiple reasons it didn't work

But how proven is proven? Is Nagelsmann proven because he won with a legitimately huge club in Bayern? Or not because Bayern run that league and a managerial piece of toast could win it.

Conte is multi-league winning but has a millimeter long fuse thatโ€™ll probably blow weeks into this job. The club are also reportedly not interested in him.

If Nagelsmann isnโ€™t enough, then itโ€™s either going to be young and trendy again or Eddie Howe.
