Final starting line-up friendly a week before the season starts and we got
Gotta love this football club 🙂
Oh, and to top it off we’ve gone and hired a coach that has 0 experience in europe AT ANY LEVEL aside from an assistant coach position in a belgian club for all of 9 months before he was sacked.
...you guessed it. Ex-Ajax and a ManUtd fan 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Why are you pretending like we haven't literally just signed a centre back.
And ignoring the fact we've very clearly been trying to sign De Jong. Plus have signed Eriksen
And ignoring the fact we have Sancho as our starter at RW and Elanga is simply getting a run out.
And why are you acting like Benni McCarthy is gonna make or break our season. Or like you have any idea of his actual coaching skills at a minutiae level.

I am not pretending we haven’t signed one; point is we’ve waiting so long that he’s barely getting a minute of pre-season for probably the position that requires building chemistry the most
clearly not what EtH had in mind.
But thats all fine, the really embarrassing bit is we’re starting a season vs europe’s best sides with Elanga as our first choice substitute for 3 forward positions
Why are YOU “ignoring the fact” that injuries and illnesses will be a thing during the season too?
Oh and as for Benni, don’t need an understanding of coaching minutiae to recognize he’s inexperienced and is being given his first big shot

Not too worried about Martinez not getting much of a pre season here. Knows the system inside out regardless.
Fair on our wingers backups. No doubt we are thin there. Elanga's having a poor game but I don't think hes bad at all. Hard working and likes to try and beat a man. Good finisher too. We'll see how Ten Hag manages with it.
On McCarthy it don't really matter. Ten Hag is by far the most hands on coach we've had this modern era. There's nothing McCarthy will be coaching that Ten Hag isnt overseeing ultimately. I'm sure he ain't brought him onboard without hearing decent things.
It must be his head shape or something because I’ve never seen any player w such a big head with so many worthless headers as Maguire
Sancho is United's most important player imo. We cannot replace him
Yup Eriksen coming on made an immediate difference cause we’ve lacked Sancho’s creativity all day
Think games like today just show that Ten Hag + his tactics alone aren’t a fix-all plaster. We look good for decent portions of matches, but his tactics alone aren’t going to make a bunch of average-to-good players top quality.
Realistically we’re starting the season with the exact same XI we finished last season with, give or take a CB or LB.
De Jong (when he finally joins) will be a massive massive upgrade in our weakest area of the field but we must also sign another attacker at minimum. 2 if Ronaldo leaves.
This Sesko guy is supposedly another Haaland-type test tube kid ready to burst (if Leipzig play ball too), but we need another attacker out wide. Fingers crossed Ajax play ball with Antony or we have an alternative in mind that the media doesn’t know about.
Today was a bit of a reality check tbh. Scary to think United could be relying on Elanga and Rashford week in week out.
