Memphis was miles better when he left PSV for United and he flopped massively at us. Players that rely on speed and strength in the eredivisie to pass a player rarely can do so in better competitions.

You're right, he wasnt that great in European matches for PSV, from what I've seen. But he was very good against Ajax and Feyenoord multiple times. Basically the only matches in the Eredivisie that matter for scouting for the big leagues I guess.

Strengths: he has one hell of a cross, don't see that often anymore for wingers, his long distance shot is deadly too, technically better than Rashford too, he doesn't pass players on strength that much imo

He's also not comparable to Memphis at all. Memphis is physically way more impressive and was the topscorer, but mainly from relatively easy goals any striker would score. But that he fails says a lot. Same for the likes of Ziyech, which is an amazing player. Maybe Bundesliga, Serie A and LaLiga fit Eredivisie players more nowadays

Also, a lot of new, young players kinda fail at United too. So it might be the environment. Sancho was amazing in Germany for example, Pogba never showed his Juve level etc.
