Eh, we've had a huge net spend in the last 5 years. Last summer we spent the most of anyone. We hold the top 3 spots for most expensive premier league transfers.

Chelsea's busy summer was inevitable after last years transfer ban and the money raised from selling Hazard, Morata, and others. And yes, Abramovich is someone who can just pump money in near endlessly despite the clubs revenue. Big difference between the way our clubs are operated.

And yeah we have a huge revenue, but we've struggled to actually turn significant profits the last few years. 2018 we actually booked a loss. And no doubt we've taken a significant financial hit this year with coronavirus.

Regardless, I have faith there's still deals in the pipeline, I expect Reguillon to be wrapped up soon and can support negotiations dragging because we don't wanna include a buyback clause.

I don’t get why we don’t just include it. Zidane has chosen mendy and Marcelo over Reguilon. He’s not going to be first choice while zidane is there. Keep the stupid clause and worse case in like 6 years he leaves because he loves Madrid and he has become the best lb in England.
