he tends to make changes to the lineup between games so far so i doubt fred will see the starting lineup again

I think it’s also safe to say we might have to try a different midfield structure without Fernandes in games like this.

“Games like this” — so he’s not good enough for low block home games, and he’s also not good enough in big games where we will have less off the ball… Hmm. I’m starting to think he’s not good enough at all!

Probably my “ideal” XI from the squad we have. I really hope we see that midfield trio at some point. God knows what ten Hag sees in Fernandes.

Is great for games like Arsenal and Liverpool where we won’t have much of the ball and need fast passes from midfield to start counter attacks. He’s been pretty useless in games against low block teams like today. And he’s one of our only “leaders”.
