ronaldo says him being benched at the start of the season with the stated reason being âu missed preseason so wait ur turnâ but hints at others being played despite that
i wonder who its in reference to, anyone know?
a player who missed preseason but went straight into the starting lineup? eriksen maybe?

Few players were signed & straight in
Others werenât
Antony straight in, Casemiro wasnât for example
There wasnât a consistent logic it was pretty much case by case
okay ronaldo saying its hypocritical to not throw him on vs city during an embarrassing loss but then bring him on to close out the spurs game is a stretch

it seems like the discussion was one of fitness, antony got a full healthy preseason with ajax so it would still be consistent
cristiano says âeven before that game (spurs), everybody knows thatâ in response to piers asking if ten hag was deliberately provoking him, but is yet to provide any such examples
EDIT: he references them again âthe issues that we had beforeâ but does not speak on them at any point
ok big praise for ronaldo here for calling out the glazers by name and explicitly stating they do not care about the football project
sidebar: ânobody is smarter than me but i am not smarter than anyoneâ is a hell of a quote
piers gives ronaldo an opportunity for a hard out with the ole reliable âdo you feel like you need a fresh challenge?â
ronny doesnt take it. hedging his bets? or perhaps he truly wants to see out the rest of his contract
reoccurring theme is that the relationship with the directors + president + coach effected his motivation which in turn effected his form
hmmm
huge respect to ronny for reiterating the club wont be successful until a change of infrastructure occurs

The consistent logic is that Antony and Martinez have already played multiple seasons under Ten Hag and knew exactly what was asked from them. Eriksen is a different case because we donât really have any other player in that position similar to him. Case came in at a time when McTominay was suddenly playing as a Roy Keane regen. There was a lot of logic behind it, Ronaldo is just a cry baby.
okay interview ended so hereâs my conclusion
he didnt cut ties with united and matter of fact went out of his way to avoid leaving that impression
he called out the glazers and the infrastructure which is excellent
went too hard on rooney for mild comments
regularly hinting at a bad relationship with figures at club but not elaborating whatsoever is eh
ppl comparing this to the lukaku comments about chelsea are braindead, this is nowhere near the same

Only issue there was was that we were flourishing with him on the bench thatâs it.

I think the logic was pretty consistent.
The team from Liverpool all the way to Man City was always the same except for the attack due to either poor/out of form, or injury. Ronaldo wasn't match ready, Martial was hurt, Rashford even had a small injury during that time period. We were in such dire need up front that Elanga got a start against Liverpool.
It's not like the midfield was changing constantly and Casemiro still wasn't getting picked. Ten Hag stayed loyal to a midfield and defense that worked... until it didn't.

Yeah I agree with it completely, it canât be a blanket rule because no two players are the same
Just think cristiano saw that didnât understand it (same with the dropped vs city but came on for spurs) and moaned about it
unrelated note, just rewatched day after tomorrow, the early Jake Gyllenhaal movie and forgot the multiple Manchester United references in there. great stuff
Who the United scouts watching this World Cup? I guess Gapko
gakpo for sure, and half the Netherlands team tbh. ten hag has his type.

saying you dont respect the manager is cutting ties
