when you compare his style of production to stuff you hear today, it's can seem simple or plain, but he knew how to work with the bare essentials and still make the song sound full

and if you really think about it for a minute, the entire point of the song, and name of the album this song was on, is HOOD RICH. not "NepoBaby" or "Urban Professional". It's meant to describe the mindset of someone who is stunting even if they don't really have it fr, or if they get that fast money but have no discipline in terms of saving. You smashing somebody's wife in their crib and got 23 inch rims but can't even pay your own rent without fear of police investigation. It's a conceptual track, the 2000s had a lot of these joints pop off, it's just talking from a different pov than the artist themselves.
