anyone who tries to be a smart ass on this website over that is insufferable because do you know how much of a f***ing nerd you have to be, to be on a CLOSED kanye fan forum in the year 2022
you gotta be the biggest dweeb
it’s always the people trying to get likes and then act like they’re not. they complain this site is hollow and just a lipstick alley 2.0 but as soon as anyone does a long post they say i’m not reading that. it’s very telling they’re calling mark fisher a thinkpiece writer when he’s a very respected academic and not a p4k wannabe paraphrasing the wikipedia article of an artist with a few goofy metaphors
google (insert rapper here) article/thinkpiece

yea I wrote some essays about this, influenced by this guys blog if u wanna read

I always love how u can follow Kanye discography using this. Like bro got to the top with Graduation and the music been dark ever since almost, and Grad kinda even hints at what's to come. Although I do think it's something that common in a lot of rap (and a lot of other things ofc), how there always darkness in success. But yeah Grad this celebratory im at the top of the world album but then there's this undercurrent running through of the shallowness of it all and the things u lose by getting there
Which is crazy considering the next album is 808s . S*** like ancient Greek tragedy the hubris of the Hero before his great fall. 'Had a dream I could buy my way to heaven, when I woke I spent that on a necklace' definition of hubris
Like I say it something people often hinting at in stories of success but considering Kanye life n discography extra cool how it plays out

yeah it’s super tight, I hate how the latest ones are like 90% thinly veiled hit pieces

i’m not really a fan of dissect i feel like he’s not real critical thinking he’s just an overzealous kanye stan
That's fair, personally I see that in some seasons but others I think it's solid. Like I thought the TPAB one was good and not filled with reaches. Or BTI I thought he did a good job of connecting the script and Donald's interviews / social media / etc to the music
