Scorsese would either need to direct the entire show or get a really good director to helm it because his approach to do one ep of his show “vinyl” and then let no names do the rest is why the show failed

Did he do the first episode? I heard from someone once that if you direct the first episode of a show, you get roped in money-wise for the rest of the show and it’s a smart move. Which is why a lot of shows will have episode 1 directed by someone big and then they don’t do anymore

Yeah he did the first episode and strangely enough, Mark Romanek did one ep too but the rest was like no name filmmakers

I think nearly everyone praised the shows pilot heavily but lost interest as it kept going and by the end, nobody cared and it got cancelled

It’s usually why I’m always weary of big directors doing tv shows because unless you’re david lynch, most will just do one or two eps and dip and the show just feels like some mid overall
