Seen people say it’s disheartening seeing a big star and seeming champion of art demeaning art that isn’t popular. Saying he’s be nowhere near forms of art that aren’t consumed by the masses and then when he says he lost 14 cents by s***ting on ballet and opera, they see it like he gave the game away in how he just sees the audience as people in seats and a monetary figure.

This is all really stupid but that seems to be my best guess at taking what people are angry about in earnest

I think it’s all a really bad faith misconstrued regurgitation of what he said for the sake of getting angry. It also just kinda seems like people are projecting on him. People want a soft spoken theatre kid, precautious artistic type and feel whiplash in how he’s been moving the last year and a half. But idk I think it’s kinda cool that our generations young star is both genuinely talented and cocky business minded dude who talks like Don draper. This is 100% how people like Denzel or Leo or Tom Cruise would’ve been talking in their 20s and 30s if the movie, press and media landscape was what it is today.

Leo also shat on jazz in the exact same context as Timmy did opera a few months ago and no one cared

I agree on that I’m just over this Oscar season . No other choice deserves and these fan bases keep making it about race . The 14 cents comment of him was dumb . These opera and ballet places making him a discount code when they already over charging in a recession
