In the Oscar race, from what I’ve seen, Ethan Hawke and Timmy have given my favorite performances

No it's not. In fact its really disappointing coming from someone whose mom and sister are ballerinas. Being a artist in one medium needlessly hating on another medium of art is corny af.
And if you rewatch the video, you can clearly see by his mannerism that he regretted it the moment he said it. Even Mcconaughey looked uncomfortable.
It would be hilarious if this costs him his dream of best actor Oscar
