@vahn guess this answers our question on if it would be fast paced or not
“This crazy director, Josh Safdie, it has kind of that “Uncut Gems” energy, that chaotic thing. It wasn’t like a low energy shoot. This was like 16-hour days for three months … Josh put me through the wringer man.“
OMGGGGGGGG LETS F***INGGGG GOOOOO!!!! Literally the only thing I wanna hear compared to uncut gems is another Safdie movie
josh vs benny man. it's about to go DOWWWWNNNN
Facts! I feel like Josh gets lowkey slept on because Benny is more out there due to being a really good actor too

I definitely had my money on Benny but the way Timothee talkin... idk it could really swing either way.
Benny's a good actor though.
from a Director's perspective, I'd rather be directing Chalamet than The Rock though, what do you think?

On paper yeah because Timmy is a better actor. But honestly I think it comes down to the story. I feel like the Safdies are great at bringing out good performances from their cast and I think The Rock is in good hands.
I honestly think this being co-written by Ronald might be the secret sauce

yah ronald is the 3rd brother which to me makes this the true successor to uncut gems

hmmm so I wonder why Josh got Ronald in the divorce...
or maybe Benny just felt confident enough to write it on his own.
With the right direction, The Rock can do good work. I'm also just thinking about his status as an actor now and how he may want to have more control over the film because he's The Rock and how that could be hard to deal with. these are all just assumptions. maybe he's a team player... I mean he DID go back to the WWE.

Ok you see the vision too
Just based off past interviews it seems like Ronald/Josh handle most the writing.
Josh/Benny handle most the directing
And I think Benny and Ronald handle most the editing

From what I’ve seen it sounds like Ronald and Josh always paired well together when it came to writing and Benny and Ronald paired well when it came to editing.
So maybe Ronald will help him edit?
This is just strictly based off interviews I’ve read before

Also it could be confidence too since Benny already got to flex his writing without Josh/Ronald when he did The Curse

Mmmmmm totally forgot about The Curse. That was Nathan and Benny writing together.
this will be interesting nonetheless and both safdie films are produced by A24 so...

Yeah the curse was like “alright let me get my feet wet without my brothers by collabing with someone else”
Now it’s like “ok that worked so now lemme get my feet wet by doing this by myself”

the curse worked for me too. it also didn't feel like previous safdie films from a directorial standpoint but also a dialogue one. So I definitely think Benny has some versatility.

100% and the pacing too. I know a lot of people complained about it being slow (it worked for me also) while usually the Safdies s*** is fast paced
Timothée Chalamet is in final negotiations to star in and produce “Marty Supreme,” an original movie from Josh Safdie and A24 that is said to be about professional ping pong player Marty Reisman.
