Shocked to find out how uncool that dude looks in real like compared to how cool they make him look in the movie

Literally do not know or care. I don't go in the thread nor have i posted about it since the Obama administration
EDIT: To further the original point, I did want to say that Twilight and The Hunger Games both have more cultural relevance than Crapatar.
i get you don't like it but my point was that youre just in a sphere of people/bubble that doesn't consume the movies or talk about them, but there are people out there that do or hear about them from the people around them (myself included)
i just can't tell if it was a genuine question or now seemingly rhetorical because its one of the highest grossing movies, so hella people did see it. it has a cultural impact to some but it just doesn't seem to be culture you take part of
Avatar bungled the franchise, crazy style. You never take a 15 year hiatus when you are hot
i really don't think they did. the movies take time to make, and it had a really good reception when it came out. the 2nd one is the 3rd highest grossing movie of all time.
Considering its a unique film and a series with a goal of 5 movies, it seems like they know what they're doing even if they lost your interest in particular..

Yeah end of the day the movies aren’t for pretentious snobs whose favorite movies ain’t even as good as the Avatar films

You know what far be it from me trying to yuck someone’s yum. If you enjoy Avatar, good on you for finding joy somewhere on this f***ed up rock. Happy Holidays
@NobodyWins i think people like them plenty just probably not people yall interact with?
I’m not saying people don’t like them I’m just wondering who cause I never met an avatar stan irl

Idk how these people really think Avatar isn’t talked about. It’s one of the very few movies that people irl do talk about

He’s full of passion rn I love it. Not sure why my response got this reply but this is what the Oscar season is all about.

same to you. i generally go into these convos being sincere and not too cynical since lifes short. im not trying to detract from either movie or say they don't deserve critique but what you were saying was confusing to me/a bit closeminded cus im not sure what's genuinely gained by comparing it to a big scifi movie.. in that way..
i've been telling people to go see this though this was so fun..
Emotionally though other than being moved by pure filmmaking magic I didn’t find it a particularly interesting take on the whole “man who’s so driven and obsessive it negatively impacts himself and those around him”. Kinda burnt out on that trope even though I’m generally sympathetic to it. Liked the ending though
One of those movies where I’m just giddy and smiling for like the first quarter of the movie. Honestly very impressive how well they pull it all off. Timmy’s great
