If BP2 turns out to displease everyone with how they handle the Panther mantle, they do have an out. They could bring T’Challa back as King of the Dead. They could recast, say the Necropolis changes their appearance, and roll with it. It could be viewed as a stretch or cop out, but it is an option they could use in case of emergency.

They have a way simpler option though. They’ve already opened the multiverse floodgates.

If BP2 isn’t received well or for some reason they change their minds about T’Challa in the future, they can easily just recast and say he’s from a different universe. Plus, America Chavez has already shown that beings from different universes can relocate to and stay in the mainline-MCUverse without any consequences

I’m just saying if they need an in-universe reason as to why T’Challa is recast they have a very simple and easy option available at their disposal.

Also, if it’s true that they’re introducing Doom in BP2, then the multiverse storyline will tie in perfectly with that character later down the line
