Itâs better than avengers one , I just wish it was a larger time gap between s*** going down
It was just a bad weekend for the Avengers if we thinking about it lol
Itâs not better than the first Avengers in any regard lmao
Age of Ultron will always have a special place in my heart because itâs the only Avengers movie where the Avengers are a team from start to finish
The way they mapped it out so that the Avengers were split up by the start of Infinity War is highkey genius
Iâll never forget watching the first Avengers for the first time in theaters. Been following since the first Iron Man
Thor vs Hulk fight
Itâs not better than the first Avengers in any regard lmao
itâs filmed better
and better costumes
story wise u could debate all day but age of ultron at least doesnât look like a tv show

It definitely looks more like a movie Iâll give it that. Story wise is not debatable either, the execution of the first filmâs story blows it out of the water
Damn whatâs with all the Endgame hate ITT?
I love both IW and Endgame, but I think Endgame is clearly the better movie.
IW is absolutely amazing but I feel like, of the two, it relies more on the spectacle and previous knowledge of the MCU rather than just existing as a movie on its own.
And yeah I know youâre probably thinking Endgame does the same with the visits to previous locations from past movies and the huge fight at the end, but Endgame has a way better defined three act structure, and a more emotional arc and theme throughout the entire film.
IW doesnât have too many character/emotional beats outside of Gamora and Thanos, which is fine for the type of movie it is, but Endgame uses the characters and emotions to drive the entire movie forward, eventually ending with Tonyâs ultimate sacrifice.
IW is still amazing but Endgame will always be better to me for those reasons
IW relies on the spectacle and previous MCU..
in comparison to endgame
really?
im not being a d*** but this feels like a troll post

Ehh I don't know if "start to finish" is the right phrase

people like infinity war more for the action but endgame has the better story and character moments
not at all..
Itâs not better than the first Avengers in any regard lmao
That s*** looks like a TV movie and knowing Thor could of handled Lokiâs ass AGAIN even with an army made me not like the movie as much
takes me out of it whenever I rewatch but yeah âIâm always angryâ is cool

Yeah that's something I don't get at all lmao you can't just watch Endgame without having any previous knowledge of the majority of the previous movies. It's a movie tying up the loose ends of ten years worth of films
With Infinity War the most you gotta watch prior is Civil War and maybe Thor: Ragnarok, but I saw it without seeing Ragnarok and still followed along with everything going on. And maybe if you actually care about the five or so minutes of Red Skull, the first Captain America movie lol

It definitely does.
The first twenty minutes alone will have many questions for a viewer who hasnât seen all of the previous MCU movies before.
âWhy are Thor and the Asgardians on this ship? Why is the Hulk with them?â
âWhy are the Avengers split up?â
âWho is this group in space with the raccoon and the tree and how are they involved in all of this?â
âWhy is Captain America on the run?â
IW doesnât really have a story honestly itâs just a MacGuffin plot lmao
Protect the stones, donât let bad guy get stones
Endgame has a much more layered and evolving story throughout
in IW the heros are completely aware they're fighting a losing battle with absolutely zero hope.
the antagonist is basically a god, collecting stones which him even stronger
what tonys been terrified of for years finally manifested itself, much earlier than predicted. and much deadlier than he could have realized.
they fight that uphill battle as hard as they can. the f***ing synergy between the avengers trying every little trick they could possibly muster up just to get absolutely washed anyway.
the way ironman knew he was fighting god and still gave it more than 100%. the way he realizes his fears were absolutely warranted as he see's his son figure disintegrate in his hands.
he tries everything. for nothing.
thor gets his revenge. for nothing.
even for thanos, gamora is gone. he won for nothing
there is zero marvel movie that fills in this slot.
aside from that one scene with tony, endgame absolutely s***s on the tone set by IW. Fat thor đ haha. Antman has no fans and can't eat a taco in peace đgood one.
the only scenes that live up to IW in anyway for me are in like the last 40 mintues. aside from a few fan service moments, it fails to find any personality in it of itself.

Endgame has more fan-service-y things that only the diehards will like/understand, but on its basic level itâs much simpler to follow and grasp than IW
It definitely does.

those are just continuing plot threads lol
the movie isn't riding itself off fan service and rehashed material

Theyâre continuing plot threads that are thrown at the viewer without any context whatsoever in the beginning of the movie. Endgame doesnât have that

Youâre confusing stakes with plot though.
The characters realizing the fate of the universe is at stake if they lose doesnât negate that the plot of the entire movie boils down to capture the flag.
Endgame is a much more layered story than that
What is the story of IW really?
Itâs just protect/capture the flag lmao

Iâm not trolling at all the movie is great but itâs literally just capture the flag (from Thanosâs perspective)

why are you ignoring everything else i said lol
how is this the basis for which movie is better
Because IWâs greatness is driven by the spectacle of it all, finally seeing every hero in the MCU team up to fight one common enemy.
Endgame also has that spectacle in the last hour, but the first two hours are driven by character work and smaller, quieter emotional beats that IW doesnât really have at all outside of Thanos/Gamora
why are you ignoring everything else i said lol
I replied to everything you said. You were confusing the characters understanding the stakes of the conflict in that movie with the actual plot of the movie
Theyâre continuing plot threads that are thrown at the viewer without any context whatsoever in the beginning of the movie. Endgame doesnât have that
Endgame literally starts off with Ironman deep in space recording a farewell message. I think most people who just jump in with Endgame will be asking:
"Why is Ironman lost in space?"
"How did Ironman get lost in space?"
"Who is the weird blue alien robot chick?"
"Who is that glowing space woman who saved Ironman?"
"Why is Ironman looking at Captain America and saying 'we failed'? What is it that they failed?"
"Why does the world look like the post-apocalypse?"
