Was it good?

There's some really cool stuff in there, some random things in there like Miles being introduced, the same age as Peter and they're both Spider-Man (prob in the old Spider-Man 4). They kill literally almost everyone but 6 people.

I think if done well it could've been pretty good but there's a lot that would've had to have been set up in other projects

A bit overstuffed but this sounds solid overall and even though not every idea lands for me, they planned to take risks but also this movie is a culmination of a build up from the past few years. I seriously worry about Doomsday in that regard

man the MCU is going out sad. hope Doomsday brings back the feeling, but right now it feels like a waste of one of marvel's most important villains

the weird thing about the MCU I'm realizing is they haven't really tackled a historically important marvel character yet. Like Thanos was a pretty throwaway character in the comics before the MCU decided to use him.

Having someone like doctor doom where there's years and years of history and stories etc to compare him against...it just seems like a gigantic risk to introduce all of that in a single movie anchored by stunt casting.

Thanos wasn't a throwaway character bro one of the most classic marvel comics is infinity guantlet that's why they decided to build him up as the big bad instead of like kang or Ultron. He was also featured in some marvel media prior to the mcu

kinda but not really, infinity gauntlet wasn’t super well received when it came out and like in 2009 thanos was suuuuuuuuper niche - the only thing he really did in the 2000s was be a bit player in annihilation. he definitely wasn’t the same level as dr doom or green goblin or smth

the mcu waaaayyyyy made him more important. which shout out he’s way better of a character now. just people who were into comics before the mcu thought he was mostly cheesy and weird
