Idek if I wanna rewatch this ctfu
fine adventure movie on its own but a pretty bad ANT MAN story and sequel
i can’t think of any way his character progressed or evolved at all in this
gotg 3 really emphasized how little love the ant-man ppl got love for him compared to james gunn and crew
Middle of the pack MCU movie. Liked it better than Ant-Man 2
Sucks that this is most likely the last Ant-Man we’ll ever get since it flopped. Character had so much more potential than what the MCU did with him and Wasp
i hope they give this and thor one more chance tbh
pass them both off to new directors and make actual satisfying finales instead of dragging it on more
I thought with the title it was gonna be a mcu mini avenger movie with antman heist humor style. I was completely wrong. It looked like the visual aesthetic of the quantum real was based maybe from the Star Wars prequel the thing is that universe felt real there was depth that added a large scope. The quantum realm feels small and cheap. I don’t like the characters they meet in the quantum realm it felt like they tried copying ragnorak characters but with zero writing to add anything to them except their introduction. I like the idea of kang but so far I’m not sold on him. specially with all the screen time he’s gotten it feels wasted and kinda lackluster compared to like thanos. All his post credit scenes and guardian of the galaxy cameo built up to his introduction in infinity war. Here I feel like well one of your variants got beat by antman I think we’ll be okay against the rest of you.

Second time they wasted Kang
Second time they wasted Kang
Facts. Even the first post credit scene. It feels already too soon into the kang saga for that. That’s the type of post credit scene you show before kang dynasty is about to release. Also if he’s killed so many avengers how did he let antman kill him they’re making kang look weak instead of strong

Ant Gang jumped him first lol
Overhated movie. Out of all MCU movies, THIS was the one that got hated on???
There’s plenty worse lol

Thor 2 is much worse.
I think it’s more disappointing than anything
That’s fair. It definitely could have. But people saying Quantumania is the worst MCU movie or a BAD movie is definitely exaggerated

I think it’s fine, but a big misstep. Not the movie I would’ve liked to kick off a whole Phase

U say this as if other mcu movies don’t get s*** on hard

I also felt this had the Star Wars vibe

It’s a good middle tier marvel movie, nothing more idk
I was expecting worst movie of all time, when really it was just a lazily done but ok marvel movie
Is kang in this film, trying to become kang in Loki? Like we’re watching him try to get to the point where he controls the multiverse? If so, introducing him first in Loki was a really good way to introduce his character

nah I think they different variants.
Kang in Quantumania is trying to do exactly what Kang in Loki is trying to prevent. A psychotic version of himself that jumps from universe to universe trying to "win" it all

But didn’t the kang in Loki have to win to make it there? Definitely different variants, but it feels like Loki kang is if the ant man kang had succeeded

maybe you right actually..
I see it as
Loki Kang is if Kang in Qauntumania succeeded but in the best case scenario. Where he did it to maintain order.
Quantumania Kang wants to succeed and do the same thing except not form a TVA, not be a good ruler and just make himself the god of the universe
