Finally watching tomorrow. Not really expecting anything other than some dumb humor and Fox cameos with a lackluster “villain” to keep the “plot” moving lol.

I finally just watched Deadpool 2 for the first time yesterday, and I enjoyed it tbh . I always heard that Deadpool 2 was a step down from part 1, but tbh I thought part 2 was more entertaining

It was definitely a funnier movie imo. The entire film is basically a rapid fire of jokes, and I found myself laughing much more than the first film . Deadpool 1 really wasn’t very funny to me

Villian was actually a highlight.

its Deadpool and Wolverine, GOTG3 had the benefit of public good will and just being a solid conclusion, this movie has the two biggest characters from the X-Men franchises

Think it drops down to a 6/10 for me.

That first watch was pretty entertaining, but there's this weird stagnation of interest and urgency that happens for about two-thirds of the film. Not sure how to really explain it. DP 1 & 2 kept things on a good track for their story. There's also a lot of awfully placed/timed "funny moments" that are just too much. Bomb after bomb after bomb. It's a worse problem than all the previous entries combined.

Just a giant disconnected nothingness, but that shouldn't be the case because everything is happening.
