Fisk’s entire arc in the Netflix show was completely contradicted by his appearance in Hawkeye, so yeah, the Netflix show was basically retconned into a branched variant universe

I don't see how that would mean that it isn't. Remember during the majority of Season 3, Bullseye was wearing the all-red costume. Tarnishing Daredevil's image. So it makes sense that he gets a new costume. As it pertains to the designer, Melvin could be in jail for all we know. If you look at the suit the design elements themselves are identical to the Netflix suit. As for Charlie Cox's comments I don't think what he's saying about Born Again not being season 4 means that the first series isn't canon. I look at it more as Fuller House to Full House. One is a sequel series that carries over many characters and elements from the original, but doesn't (mostly) directly continue storylines set up in the original. The showrunner of She-Hulk said that they did not have control over what Matt's costume would look like. That tells me that the all red design was ditched because of how bad its image was made to look thanks to Bullseye.

DD will have the red suit. promo image leaked from Disney parks showing him in it. Feige is a comics purist so I’m sure he’ll start with yellow then go red

and yea ofcourse they're not doing a season 4 of the dark, super violent netflix daredevil, they doing a season 1 of a more lighthearted story...but they still gonna treat Daredevil S1-3 as an unspoken, vague history of the characters though.

agree with you 100%, they wouldn't get Cox as DD and D'onofrio as Fisk if they planned on doing a new origin story.

The characters, history and what they been through are the same, just that they won't reference or continue any storylines whatsoever.

basically we got the epic dark 3 season long origin story of DD
and now we getting the DD that's just living in this world, interacting with everyone else.
