Damn... this really feels like 2017 DCU. Hoping they correct the course but I feel like they gave the spotlight to bland characters, pretty much ridiculed and belittled existing legacy characters (thor, hulk, antman) where I feel that they need to cut most of the mfers they introduced on phase 5 and start polishing the few characters that can have an interesting future. Other than spiderman and the remaining guardians I am not interested in anyone of the current roster (including Kang).

They can't really talk about it now but his passing really f***ed them

Outside of just his presence as Black Panther -- Wakanda was positioned as being the in-universe hub for the heroes

A lot of things happened after his death that helped get them here but I do think it was the first domino

They made a terrible mistake by not recasting T'Chala.

Also oversaturating the universe with mediocre to terrible Disney+ show was the beginning of the end for the MCU

Exactly lmao. Can’t believe they are panicking so much when they still have the rights to Avengers, F4 AND X-Men. And No Way Home just did over 2 billion.
They need to calm tf down and just focus on the future. Put all of your money and attention in to those 4 films, scrap all the Disney+ shows except Loki, and finish Kang’s story

Scrap Daredevil?

calling fantastic four one of the most successful nowadays feels like a stretch

everyone knows them but the only successful movie out of the 3 was the first one almost 20 years ago and even then it’s not a classic or anything

Ok they can save Daredevil as well lol . Loki and Daredevil, thats it.

O and also that Spider-Man animated show has potential

But all the other money and effort should go back in to their movies

Why

I personally would end the MCU and stay away from trying to connect everything. Just focus on making the best possible movies that don't have to worry about connecting to some other films. You can make a ensemble superhero flick without build-up films. Hollywood has been doing that forever, so I don't see why the superhero genre has to be different. I think connecting everything has put Marvel in a tangled mess they can't get out of and it's getting worse

The way things are going they will keep using the multiverse until Avengers Secret Wars and then reboot
