Also, there’s only four movies between now and Avengers: Doomsday.
Brave New World, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and Blade.
How the f*** is this gonna reasonably lead up to an Avengers film
I bet there's gonna be one or two more added in
Spidey 4 and Strange 3
Like yall got to be honest with yourselves they could have gotten a GREAT ACTOR GOT LESS MONEY
Not sure anyone is denying this tho
It was rumored a week ago

TEAM DELAY
Shoes would help but we’ve got Agatha and daredevil
Bro the problem is Phase 4 and the beginning of Phase 5 have generated zero hype for what's to come. You know that. There would be nothing for fans to attach to for an Avengers movie in literally 2 years bc they've given us nothing to latch onto, Majors is gone for sure. This move makes sense, from a financial point of view yes obviously. But you're acting like people wouldn't fill the seats just to see RDJ back in the MCU, regardless of the role.
Let’s not forget we still don’t know who tf is on the Avengers team at this point
All the doom fancasts over the years for it to end up being RDJ. Crazy to think about
should've picked Bryan Cranston tbh

Exactly, I'm not disagreeing with that at all, which is why this move makes sense.

Spidey 4 and Strange 3
All of those movies release in 2025.
It is quite impossible for them to announce another movie, cast it, write it, film it, visual effect it, edit it, promote it, and release it in time before Doomsday comes out in May 2026.
They doubled down on the date now so I don’t see it being delayed again
So if they do this evil Ironman Dr. Doom character then I wonder if they do a 616 Victor Von Doom
why does it need to be this complicated?
Folks acting like without RDJ niggas wouldn't have been going to an AVENGERS movie with DR DOOM as the villain? I feel like I'm in the twilight zone lmaooo
Yeah Dr Doom is easily the biggest villain I’ve seen fans begging for. Having it be a Tony Stark variant (I think?) just draws back in the die hard Iron Man fans who get to see him again. So it’s like we hyped Tony is back and we hyped we finally get Doom.
But I don’t think it’s a NECESSITY cus Doom getting hype regardless. I just think they tryna maximize as much as possible and go back to familiar roots being MCU been losing steam.
I also remember reading like a year ago they wanted to do the same thing with Chris Evan and bring him back as like an evil Captain America
Feige needs to stop with the bs & recast T’Challa already
Doing all this other crap, get your priorities straight @kevfeige
Doom is loved but I imagine for the casual fan the character Spidey superseded whoever who was gonna play him
Can’t say the same for Doom for the causal fan
Bro why are y'all acting like Dr Doom is some obscure character
its me... evil tony 😈
tom holland killing rdj gonna break the internet
This is another huge reason I like this move. Simply because of the obvious conflict it'll cause internally for Holland's Spiderman.

Oh for Doomsday lol
I thought you meant Secret Wars too
Blade might make it out by Feb 2026 but that's it lmao
People would've been hype because it's Dr. Doom
who doesn't know who Dr. Doom is
I mean your average person knows of Doom but don't know his background. Most people just know his image as the dude in a mask but that's about it since he's only had one s***ty portrayal on screen. He isn't like the Joker that you can just pop in a film, you gotta explain who he is. But there's no time to build him up and have people care for him like a Thanos level threat. Making him a Tony Stark variant gives him some background and gives the audience a reason to care off rip and builds hype that the MCU needs right now
