I read it, and it was a bad argument.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 got terrible reviews and it made more than Man of Steel

If it gets good reviews alone that’s a win why we talking box office
Superman movies haven’t been critically received well since 1980 and folks acting surprised that people are hesitant to invest in a live action Superman movie lmaooo

Expensive to make too
Still cant believe RDJ is playing victor von doom.
I really thought it was a Tony Stark variant who went evil.
I wonder if RDJ is gonna have a European accent or will he just be american?
You have to make a nigga flying with no suit look cool
Lasers
Frost breathe so many powers

Because the conversation was about most popular characters right now, don’t try to change the argument
Reviews have nothing to do with popularity, box office does
Saying Superman is the same as Spider Man and Batman is such a false argument because even their s***tiest movies still make a ridiculous amount of money.
Even VENOM managed to make close to a billion and those movies are reviewed terribly.
The problem is not that people are tired of Superman because of bad movies.
The problem is that Superman movies don’t connect with modern audiences because the character is outdated and uncool to an entire generation of people
The argument wasn’t even Batman or Spiderman.
This span off of who was more popular: him or Iron Man.
Then you added the criteria of it only being box office movies and not just media in general.
Then the criteria of people being under 25.
Then when I showed you popular Superman media being received well outside of live action movies you told me it didn’t count

My conversation wasn’t made on recency bias it was overall from the beginning
Again I said I can show my grandma a photo of Superman A kid and a teenager none of them will hesitate to

Where has it actually been confirmed that this isn't a Tony variant?

You keep talking about reception, that has nothing to do with popularity
Tony Stark is 100% a more culturally popular character in the 21st Century than Superman is, it’s not even close

Marvel tweeted it
