Kang could have been a different threat than Thanos. Thanos relied on brute force, manipulation, and raw power.

Because of the whole Multiverse thing no matter how Kangs you kill or defeat he always come back in a different form.

He could have overwhelmed the avengers based on how many of versions of him are out there.

Which would have necessitied every marvel character from every marvel film universe coming back to stop all the Kangs.

Man I'm getting sad just talking about this wasted potential

    You bumming me out man

RDJ as Doctor Doom is the most disappointing thing since the Mandarin in the MCU lmfao

I mean Doctor Doom could have tons of potential too and they're like wasting half of that potential right off the bat before the movie's even out

Okay so let me start by saying Spider Man has been one of my favorite characters in all of media for my entire life . He means so much to me for so many reasons. The idea that Peter Parker could be anyone ( wanted them to have Peter Parker be black in another dimension not a different person but thats a discussion for a different time).

Tom Holland is only so expressive for me. He isn't a loser. He wins over these women quite easy. Meets and works for Tony Stark right at his beginning which feels more batman robin than a fully developed Spider Man. They used Spider Man as a conduit for Avengers movies which by itself would be okay if Spider Man central villains in multiple movies were mad at him rather than Tony Stark. His villains in two movies are technology based both times technology created by Tony Stark. The suit he uses to defeat said villains is also created by you guessed it Tony Stark. The person who coaches him when he feels low is you guessed it again Happy who connects to Tony Stark. The place where he keeps the villains later in the trilogy you guessed it again it relates to Tony Stark.

Do you see a pattern here in writing? Spider Man has always been a poor loser, who fumbles b****es, geek, nerd, glasses who has the capability to create things on his own and works with what he has. In this case Tony is handing him everything and yes Tony and him conflict he takes it back. But the trajectory of it ruins a lot . This was told to us “no origin” but the entire trilogy is an origin story of him blindly trusting every single man that walks into his life in the absence of his father and Uncle Ben ( who is an after thought in this series). They tried to replicate the Norman Osborn tension with Vulture. It worked once then they just said “yeah lets have Peter trust every single man that walks into his life and never learn the lesson”. Aunt May death was hilariously foul in the way it was done. But by the end of No Way home we finally get the idea that we may get the friendly neighborhood spider man we deserve

UNFORTUNATELY THAT MOVIE SHOULD BE DROPPING THIS YEAR . Because their time frame between it and next Avengers is too small and Spider Man needs a movie of his own plot where he is not forced to advanced the main story. His secret identity will thank God never be revealed or threatened again ( they were very lazy in having every single movie end with him revealing his secret identity in some way ).

The rush to it now appears get to Miles when we haven’t gotten a Peter Parker who has a job, goes to school, balances slice of life with being a hero because they force themselves to rush from contrived plot point to point is baffling. Spider Man has always been a series yes some what about the dangers of technology but the danger of SCIENCE which I wish they went animalistic with vulture there have been iterations where he absorbs youth to look younger which felt like an easy idea. The villains being atrocities and not being able to take suits on and off was part of the TRADEGY

Still no Goblin, no use of Kingpin in the movies and if they bring up Alistair Smythe they have already used so much technology so it would be a lot.

That is truly the saddest part of this man

and I will say it @SegaDreamFlash

you can shoot me for it

BUT RECASTING RDJ BUT NOT RECASTING A BLACK ACTOR FOR KANG AND INSTEAD THROWING THE ENTIRE STORY AWAY

SAYS A WHOLE F***ING LOT MAN

You think the audience can't process someone else being Kang but readily through RDJ as doom at them without hesitation

  • Jul 29, 2024

KANG IS A MULTIDIMENSIONAL BEING AND YOU CANT RECAST HIM

BUT YOU CAN MAKE DOOM A MULTIDIMENSIONAL RDJ

    CORNY ASS COMPANY MAN

Said this in the Doomsday thread but it bears repeating here:

Only way I see this potentially working, admittedly it's kind of stupid, but we end up finding out there's a multiversal council of Dooms (instead of the Kangs).

Being back Julian McMahon, bring back f***ing Toby Kebbel even. S*** if they showed spotlight to even bad films in DP&W they can do it for this purpose. If THAT is what they do, then a version of Tony being the main Doom in this film then they fight a whole bunch of them in Secret Wars (maybe only like 3 or 4). S*** they can do that, have RDJ Doom become God Emperor, but then after Secret Wars get ourselves a real 616 Doom (preferably played by a Romani actor).

That is kind of what I would guess based on all the Dooms on stage

this is how i feel about people in general b****ing about the MCU since Endgame

fact of the matter is, the audience is spoiled at this point and its easier for people to nitpick

Regardless of whether they doing many dooms, variant, victor von doom, impostor

This was easily the lamest possible way you could convey the inofrmation

Facts. Tom's Spiderman is just way too naive, stupid and reliant on others to be a believable hero. Bro caused all that s*** in No Way Home, got Aunt May killed and almost tore the entire multiverse apart because he couldn't stfu while Dr Strange did his spell Blindly trusted Mysterio with the tech Tony Stark, his idol and mentor, left to him

Just feels like they have him do a bunch of dumb and unrealistic s*** to advance the plot. Probably because Tom has a babyface and naturally looks like a clueless amateur. Can you imagine that talking during the spell scene if it was Tobey or Andrew?

They have a lot of work to do for Peter to redeem himself in Spiderman 4. Especially if they want him to be a leader of the Avengers. Because right now, Tom's Spiderman is not cutting it

went from a few valid points to the longest yap session. he just loud and conflating audience complaints. the gist is people would be way more open to different interpretations of characters if they're first done right and the story organically progresses toward these other versions.

instead you have redundant casting that cheapens the death of a character and banks on nostalgia while an entire kang storyline is dropped haphazardly for a premature doom appearance.
