Superman hasn’t had a good selling movie since 1980 dawg, cut the excuses

Define good selling cause Man of steel did good as a movie. Did it break a billi? No. But if a billi is what's required to be a good selling movie then James Cameron is one of the niggas making them

i used to work in a retail store that sold all types of superhero merch, clothing etc from both DC and MARVEL and tbh no one was buying superman merch…

i can say however without a doubt that spiderman is arguably the most popular hero in this era

    Yep that's true I can confirm. I'm a
Prime Zoomer age and people can't get enough of Spider-Man. And now with these new kids younger than me, Miles and Peter are neck and neck in popularity.

Dare I say Miles might be getting more popular

Wasn’t the whole point of the ant man kang was that that was one of the weaker variants? But I get how that can trickle into the audience not taking him serious

still don't get the idea behind that

Even the post credits showing an army of Kangs was basically promoting him as an army the avengers would be mowing down with ease like they did thanos army lmaoooo promoting endless more Kang Ls in future movies

Didn’t he get trapped in some hyperbolic time chamber type thing at the end? The one where Ant-Man was dealing with multiple versions of himself.

I think the plan was to have the weak kang variant be in there, get stronger, and exact his revenge at the kang dynasty. Shame the movie flopped tho

Man of Steel couldn’t even clear $675 million.

Every single Deadpool cleared that with ease.

There’s clearly a disconnect with modern audiences and the character

Kang should have been saved for a bigger character than Ant Man.

IDK who though. IDK if Majors was cast by then but a Kang Variant would have been perfect for Multiverse of Madness. Maybe have him with team up with or manipulate Wanda into turning evil.

This all hindsight though for me

All this because Majors put hands on his girlfriend and Peyton Reed refused to only put a few henchmen in a bee suit na have Antman and the Wasp kick AIM's ass

That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking what's the standard. Batman begins did similar numbers to MoS didn't it?

Wasn't the initial argument Superman vs Iron Man?

If that's the case why aren't we comparing their movies box office revenue instead of Deadpool lol

Iron Man 1 was 585 million

Man Of Steel was 668 million

Iron Man 2 was 623 million

    BvS was 874 miillion

Justice League was the only movie that grossed less than Iron Man 3 with 661 million to Iron Man's 1.2 billion which can be chalked up to the bad word of mouth we spoke of earlier with the previous films

Quantumania's disappointment is the main thing that put a halt to their plans.

I think that even if nothing happened with Majors, Kang Dynasty wouldn't be a thing.

Kang gets beat multiple times and he always comes backs stronger with technical advancement. He was always beatable, but the avengers could never get rid of him.

His infinite variants makes him who he is. The Ant Man kang was missing his tools. Getting the strong kangs from the jump makes no sense. The build up into his more evil counter parts we’ll sadly never get to see. Tut, Immortus , f***ing Iron Lad.

i brought this up last night and when I did I got told that Superman media does better because of brand recognition

We literally posted statistics and google results and he wrote it off lmao

I don't feel like arguing with bro cuz he's cool people tho

    Oh wow. that's crazy.

Nah there’s a reason they waited until right after the outcome of the court case to fire him

I do think Quanumania flopping was going to lead to some kind of a switch up though

We sure there won’t be any Kang involvement in Doomsday tho? Might b copium but I’m holding out for a recast even if it’s just for a minor role
